    Fiverrr's Journey to $1000/Month!

I've been lurking these forums and generally been soaking up information on SEO and IM for about a year now. I feel like
I know enough to get started/if I don't start now I'll never get started.

There seems to be so much information on this website that it can get overwhelming. I figure I can continue to learn
while I being my journey and have started this thread to keep track of what I'm doing every day. I'll try and share as much information as I can if things are working out, I also figure that even if i crash and burn, people will be able to at least be able to learn what not to do if anything lol

I'll post my total earnings in the following format once things start rolling.

    Amazon Affiliate website #1 $.00
    Amazon Affiliate website #2 $.00
    Adsense website $.00
    PPD

    Amazon Affiliate Website #1
I've written 5, 500 word review articles for the site so far today.
I've chosen a nice wordpress theme for the site.
I plan on writing 5 more articles before buying the domain and starting some SEO work on the website.

    Amazon Affiliate Website #2
I've only managed to find the niche which is pretty small only 500 searches per month. I figure if I can rank this site then it will be a good indication that I can actually rank websites. After posting I plan on manually spinning about 5-7 articles to get some content going. I'll be using the same theme from AAW#1 (Amazon website #1). It's a good overall theme for review websites so I think it should work well for this niche as well.

    Adsense Website
I've spent the most time on this websites future content so far. I've written 7 articles, some manually spun, some just off the top of my head. The articles range from 700-4000 words so I'm hoping that it will be weighed nicely once Google comes around.

I plan on having at least 20 articles written before I launch the site as it is in a very competitive niche with around 2000 searches per day. The EPC is very nice though so if this site works out it could be my biggest earner, which is why I'm taking my time before I launch it. I'm going to hammer out at least another 3-5 articles for it tonight, I just have to find some topics related to the nice to talk about. By writing those 4K word articles I kind of took away alot of the topics which could have been spread out, but I think G will favor the lengthy posts.

    PPD
To be honest, I just picked up the idea to try this out from one of the journey threads here. I've made a quick video, but I'm having trouble exporting it. I currently have a YouTube account which has over 1,000,000 views and it's been around for years. I'm not sure if I should try and upload the videos there and risk it getting banned or starting a new channel. We'll see.

To be honest, I don't plan on spending too much time here, I figured the videos don't take too long to make and I can possibly make some passive income on the site, hopefully to cover hosting and domain fees if anything.

    Fiverrr's Journey to $1000/Month

Alright so as with most of these journey's mine is no different and I've chosen to go about
things a little differently than originally planned. I've given up on the idea (for now) of managing and
writing contet/ranking three sites at once. So for now I'm just focusing on my Adsense website. Below you will find what I've done so far for the site and where I'm at so far, still in the beginning steps of course but
this is a journal as much as it is a journey thread.

    Adsense site (Main site)
I picked up a part-time job to keep things going and I've had to work a bunch
this week so far this is what I've done in the time that I've had to spare.

    • [*=left]Set up the website theme
      [*=left]Customized it
      [*=left]Bought hosting
[*=left]Bought domain name with EMD long tail of my keyword
[*=left]Written and posted all of the articles that I have
[*=left]These range in the 700-1500 word range with one 4K word article
[*=left]combining for a total of 13 so far
      [*=left]Applied for Adsense
      [*=left]Got accepted to Adsense! (yay!)
      [*=left]Installed yoast/Adsense fraud protector/Google adsense plugin
[*=left]Submitted the website to Google index (site is now indexed)

The site is indexed but not with the yoast optimized pages. I'm going to resubmit the website to Google after my first round of back linking (very small campaign to look natural) with the yoast optimized pages however I feel like this plugin provides a very over optimized way of approaching things.

Next up is my first round of back linking and see if there's any movements in the SERPS.
I forgot to mention that I also submitted the site to Bing where it was indexed, and applied for the
Yahoo/Bing advertisers program. Not sure if I'll be accepted there, haven't heard any word back
accept that my application has been accepted and is under review.

That's really about it for today. The only other notes I have is that I might look into changing
my theme depending on if I branch out my keyword and have to add a bit more content to the website.
I plan on having at least 20-40 articles on the site before I'm done with it so we'll see.

    Fiverrr's Journey to $1000/Month

Not to much to update this with unfortunetely been having to work the past couple days, however I
have a couple of days off which I will be using to put together a couple of 2.0s and using a free trail of
GSA SER in order to throw a couple of extra links at them.

    Adsense site
So like I said I really haven't had that much spare time to spend on the site. I've managed to write a couple more
unique articles in the 500-700 word range so I have 17 articles in total on the site. Almost at my 20 article mark.

I went through my posts and started linking between the pages/posts especially the 4K work article I wrote.
I threw together a web 2.0 on wordpress and started backlinking to it. I just got a GSA SER trial which I will be using to throw a couple more links to it. I'm just kind of experimenting at this point and I want to see what affect if any these links are going to have on the web 2.0. The article I wrote is pretty basic but it should be sufficient to get some decent testing done.

In the coming days I plan on putting together at least at total of 10 2.0's and get some decent links for them. I'll write unique content for them and see what I can't accomplish. After that, I'll move on to grabbing some high PR, hopefully niche related backlinks to direct to the main page of my money site.

    Just a quick little update.
My main site is now ranking 143rd for one of the long tail versions
    of my keyword!

It's pretty exciting for me to know that what I've been doing is actually working, albeit on a very small scale.
I'm hoping that with more web2.0s I can continue to climb in the ranks!

    Fiverrr's Journey to $1000/Month

    Adsense Site
So far I've set up and set up backlinks to 3 web 2.0's
They're one pagers with one article, however the first one is now indexed and I believe it to be the reason why one of the longtail versions of my keywords went from no where on Google to #131.

Being on the 13th page of Google isn't going to help any, but it is a decent start and at least it's showing me that web 2.0's should work.

I'll start diversifying the links and adding some high PR links directly to the main site after I'm done building my mini network.

As a side note I was approved for the Bing/Yahoo ads program and applied to be a partner, whatever that means.
I like having the option to show ads with either adsense or Bing, as it helps me not put all my eggs in one basket. I've also applied and been accepted to an affiliate program for my niche and thew up a sidebar banner for it. Not sure if it's going to stay there as of yet. Don't want the site to look too cluttered.

The site is loading kind of slow. I'm not sure if that's because of the wordpress theme I'm running or my hosting (hostgator) I'm going to look into this and see if I can't speed it up a little bit.

That's really about it I think for now.

    Quick little update.

Accuranker is showing me that the keyword has dropped from #131 to #151.

Not sure is this is because of the web 2.0s I created or not.

Going to keep making more, but I'm going to add a couple of pages
and maybe mix it up between 1-3 articles on each. That's about it for now.

    Fiverrr's Journey to $1000/Month

    Adsense Site
I managed to set up 5 more web 2.0's today. I put three pages on each, with three articles on each of them as well.
I can't believe how fast this week has flown by. I was trying to see how Google was going to react to the first web 2.0 I set up with backlinks, but I guess I waited too long. I was hoping to have already made 10 web 2.0's by now and have them filled up with a decent amount of content.

However, waiting did show me that 2.0's should work. The first one that I set up and spammed with GSA/backlinks I set up myself worked decently enough by itself to get the longtail version of my keyword on the map. It bounced from #131 - #151 where it has stayed since. I think I'm going to set the bar at 20-30 wed 2.0s set up and linking to the main site before I buy any linking packages for the main site.

I did some more research on the keyword with Market Samurai and my competition in the niche has seriously changed. Before the competition was ranking with 30 or so relevant links to the website and now Google looks to be favoring .edu/.gov links as about 7/10 websites are domains which include one of those endings. The other links all have at least one .edu pointing in their direction but there is still hope. The backlinks profile on these guys doesn't seem to be all that strong so I'm hoping I can make progress. In the meantime I'm going to keep my eyes peeled out for some decent .edu/.gov links so I can add them to my own profile.

I still need to get into contact with HostGator or just switch hosting all together in order to speed up the site. I should definitely get that done sooner than later.

I can't wait until at least one of the main versions of my keyword starts showing up in Google or even Bing. That's about it for today. Thanks for reading and good luck on your own journeys!

    Quick Update

Another one of my web 2.0's (wordpress) has been indexed and it's backlinks as well.

The long tail of my keyword which was ranked #151 is now
    sitting at #23

We'll see in the next couple of days if it drops like it did last time.

Bad news is this is only showing in Accuranker, not Whatsmyserp so I'm not sure what to believe to be honest.

Oops turns out it is showing in WhatsMySerp, sorry for the mix up. I accidentally included "www" in whatsmyserp which is why nothing popped up.

Are you using a caching plugin like WP Super Cache? Those can really speed up loading speed on some sites.

Hey fiverrr. Good luck on your journey! Looks like you are off to a great start. Quick question On the Web 2.0s you are building. Are they unique content or are you spinning the articles? Also when linking out what kind of anchor text are you using? Are you mixing it up with links like "click here" naked URL or just using the main keyword? Whatever it is looks like it is working nicely! Keep it up.

nvm I saw the post where they are unique but still curious about the anchor text :)

Hey you definitely want to consider not posting gigantic articles like your 4k word one. People are way to lazy to read that much. You should keep your articles at 2k words or below. And 2k is really pushing it. Making articles that long is exhausting, looks like a giant text wall, and takes away the amount of topics you can write about.

It would have been better to split it up into 4 posts.

But other than that, great job bud. Keep it up, you're motivation and dedication is rare, take advantage of it. It'll pay off before you realize it.

Thank you! I hope the numbers here aren't confusing but this is the only way I can explain it.

The content is unique on 5 or 6 of the web 2.0's, the other site is just spun articles. Each site has 3 articles ranging in the 300-500 word range. 2/3 articles have a link pointing to my URL, all of them have links pointing to various authority/major websites. Most of the anchor text is just the URL to my homepage. It's probably a 70/30 split between URL vs Keyword version.

    Hopefully that made sense!

Hey, thanks for the kind words.

I agree that the 4K article is a bit much for readers and I definitely could have split them up and used them as content. My thinking was that it would be a nice way of targeting multiple keywords, which it still might but the page has been indexed and even though I considered it, I don't think I'm going to split it up now.

    Thanks again!
