    Hey guys,

I have two questions about fiverr. I have an internet connection with dynamic IP. Everytime I restart my router I get a different IP. Is it safe for me to create a 2nd Fiverr account using another browser, if I use that browser every time I login to that account and if I restart my router before every login?

And one more thing. I have read on multiple fiverr guides that we should create a separate gig for accepting tips from our buyers and include something like "If you think I have worked hard, I will gratefully accept a tip < tip gig>" in our delivery message.

Personally I think buyers will take that as a negative sign. I think it's not nice when we ask for tips.

But now I have second thoughts after recently a buyer suggested me that I should have a separate gig for tips becoz I offer great services.

What do you guys think? :)

(I know now fiverr has an inbuilt "tips feature" but many buyers don't know how to use it as it seems)

That wouldn't be the best idea, as if it changes EVERY time you reset the router, then you would be getting an IP change which would probably not bring the best suspicions to begin with. It's not like it would alternate between the two IPs you created your accounts with.

I'd recommend you take $10 of your earnings and create accounts using an HTTP proxy from one of the people on BHW's Marketplace. That way you can have multiple accounts as long as you know which proxy belongs to what account.

Regarding Tips: I think the more nonchalant you act about tips, the more it could help. I think a more personalized message could be more useful, as the one you used as an example seems boring, copy pasted and too simple. Perhaps something like:

"Thank you for the opportunity to work for your project! I'm sure now and in the future, we can build a healthy working relationship. I hope you can consider re-hiring me for any other jobs you have in mind, and if you're more than pleased and wouldn't mind sending a tip, I would forever appreciate it as it would improve my business to deliver even more quality content for you and your company.

    Thanks again,
    Sadharana"

Idk, that's just some random thing I spurted out in like 20 minutes. I'm sure if you take the time to find a good copy that can trigger their heart strings, they can drop over a nicer tip. Personalized experiences make it much better, and if you're relying on tips for more success in the future, you might want to consider improving that whenever you can.

Thanks for your descriptive answer my friend :) I agree with you about your idea about tips. The more nonchalant you act about tips, the more it could help :) Thanks again :)

OP, cleaning cookies and other stuff might be a good idea as IP doesn't have to be the only factor determining who is creating the account.

Dynamic IPs wont be a matter. My account got restricted recently claiming that I have multiple accounts which was not true. I just reply them that My service provider provides me with dynamic IPs so that might be the problem, then they re activated my account without any more investigation

Thanks for your input :) But since I'm planning to use a different browser, I don't think cookies will be an issue :)

That's great news! Actually I was wondering about that. Since most of the internet users in my country have connections with Dynamic IP I think it's not practical for them to ban accounts :)

And Veboo, I can't thank you enough! :) Because you are the reason I started fiverr :) I'm still not a Pro, I have a lot to learn. But I'm really happy with the results so far :)

I started 2 and a half months ago. In my first month I earned $128. The second month was a slow month. Maybe since it's summer in US, I didn't get many orders in July from US buyers.

But in this month I got many orders from buyers from other countries and few orders from US buyers as well. This month, so far I have earned $110 in 13 days :)

I know it's just pocket money for many of our BHW members. But I'm really happy with it coz this is my first success after many failed attempts in the IM world :)

    Hi Guys,

I am a newbie here but wondering why do we need to accounts in fiverr, that too when they restrict it. Wont it be unethical? Fiverr is for freelancers and they are supposed to be individuals. If we are doing good work we would any way have orders in queue if not we cant get even in many accounts.

can some one correct me if I am wrong here.

    Thanks

    Mark

Good point. But the problem is if you have more than one talent as a freelancer, it's better to have multiple accounts. For an example let's say you are a pro at logo designing, but also you are good at making video testimonials. If you offer both services on one account, then your account is not gonna look professional. It's better to have one account for logo designing and another one for video testimonials and stuff. Your account should have a specific niche :)

Therefore I don't think it's unethical at all. If you have multiple talents, you should get use of that :)
