My favourite thing about Fiverr is that (if you ask them to) they'll feature your gig in their daily emails revolving around a certain niche.
I've got a 100% rated feedback on there as a seller and as such I asked them to feature my second best selling gig (with the extras it actually makes me more than my best selling one). They did this for me, and even followed it up on one of the aforementioned emails.

The best thing is, because it brought in them money as well, under the business category, they sent on an email to Fiverr users looking for business gigs and my gig was the right at the top of the email. This managed to net me a pretty nice income considering the work for this gig is minimal. Off the back of this, I thought I would branch out and release a gig around article writing. In the next email from Fiverr of their hand picked gigs my brand new one was right at the top of their email.
In the past I've had problems with buyers trying to scam me even though they got a great deal. Thankfully the customer service peeps have always been spot on with their judgement, and in once case a buyer had her account shut down. It turns out she had been scamming a load of sellers and they were all giving her a refund just to avoid negative feedback being added to their account.

I'd say the worst thing about Fiverr though is the 14 day waiting period before you can get your money, it's a pretty annoying feature and it would be better if it was 7 days maximum.

I hate the Refund policy on the digital contents. I was scammed because a guy purchased 50$ of gigs and then was refunded after digital delivery. The support don't know anything and don't answer. 80% of the gigs are low quality and I think that buy something at 5$ have not sense if this thing has bad quality.

Best thing on Fiverr is that they try to give exposure to the gigs. There is a rotation system that can provide a lot of impressions (a lot of times my gigs had 220K impressions in few days and this means that are feautured on the home page, but I have not seen it on the home page).

    Hello.

    Here my thoughts from experience!

    Fiverr's (+)

    - A lot of great and targeted customers - if you get lucky you can get sales fast
    - Easy to withdraw money
    - Good Customer support

    Fiverr's (-)

    - Hard to rank gigs and get first sales for new users
    - To add gig extras need level 1 and up
    - Too much time to wait to be able withdraw money
    - It is hard to communicate with clients through fiverr's message system
    - Worst search algorithm

    Feature for better Fiverr:

If fiverr will have feature to lift up gigs - ads place where sellers can buy and place their gigs there - that would be great start for new users. And also some kind of chat system.

    Thanks

    Martins

As a seller I find people expect way too much for $5, especially when the seller only earns $4 for every $5 of gigs sold.
Another thing is the layout of the website and design for sellers is terrible. There are much better ways to optimize and organize it so it's easier to keep track of what orders are in progress or need attention.

I still think it's a goldmine however, it only takes 1 gig out of your 20 to hit it big for you to start seeing a great income on the website.

Fiverr is for sure one of those things that people either hate or love. I think the biggest problem that people have with Fiverr is the amount of time it takes for a gig to gain some steam. Seems like no one is even interested in your gig if you don't already have a ton of sales and or a ton of positive feedback. However, once your gig has started to take off, you find yourself getting a lot of return customers, and people pay for the extras

as seller = increase minimum gig price from $5 to upto $100.

as a buyer = better search to find best gigs.one should be able to choose
    "gigs from top sellers/lvl 1/lvl 2"
"show gigs in ascending/descending order of reviews"

+fiverr should show actual tat on gig instead of "average delivery time"

where are my 25 dollars ?

    As a seller:

I liked that my gig went to the front page immediately after i started it. That was a nice touch and it brought in the orders.

I hated how much was expected for what comes out to be $4/hr pay. I had a gig up for 60 minutes of video transcription service for $5 delivered in 24 hours. That was stupid on my part as it took way too much time and I couldn't keep up with the orders. However I still had people sending me 2-4 hours worth of stuff telling me to start on it and they would order multiple gigs "soon".

That led to a lot of cancelled orders which ruined my profile and I gave up on it. I thought I would be able to add gig extras which would have made the service worth my time but then I found out I had to reach a certain level before I could. I think Fiverr is good for services which can be automated, but for people like me who were actually interested in providing a good service for a decent pay, it wasn't there for me.

    As a buyer.

It's 5 bucks. Sure, alot of the gigs can be hit or miss, but you get what you pay for and it's kind of nice to know that if the gig turns out to be crap, you're only out a fiver. The return policy is pretty good as well it seems and being backed by paypal I'm assuming it would be pretty hard to get ripped off on there, though I haven't had to deal with any of that so far.

    As a buyer.

I wont shit done quick. The only reason I use fiverr is I'm stuck and I need something in a few hours even if its not perfect. Anytime I order I look for people that deliver the same day.

As a Seller i have following thoughts in my mind

    (+)

    - Targeted buyer base
    - Great Support Team
    - Nice User Interface
    - Mutual cancellation doesn't lower the rating
    - Vacation Mode

    (-)

    - Search Algorithm is worst
    - Long Payment Clearing Period of 14 Days
    - $4 for $5 Gig (Actual Transfer to Paypal is $3.92)
    - Messaging system is not good
    - Hard time for a new seller because of 0 Feedback
    - Gig Delivery Window popup keep on scrolling on mobile and normal version of fiverr. Even if we set user agent as Desktop it doesn't work. it was perfect in the Version 1.0.
    - After returning from the Vacation Mode, not all gigs previously active are activated again, we have to manually activate some of our gigs
    - If buyer updates the order page it doesn't appear on "To Do" Menu for the seller to reply. "To Do" appears Only for messages that were sent in the Conversation Page
    - My Gig "A" having 4k views per month dropped to 200 per month after i activated vacation mode (for a week). It never raised to that range after the vacation mode deactivation.

    Features that can be implemented

    - Chat system with the buyers. (Every Buyer ordered a gig will be added to a List in the Chat and if he is Online he should be visible as Online, for better and fast communication with the buyer, and the Buyer will be removed from the List from Chat windows, once the order is marked as complete.
    - Fund Clearing period should be lesser for Level 2 and Higher Levels
    - Search system should be improved
    - In "My Gigs Page", there should be an option to view Total Number of sales in each gig which links back to the Orders Delivered.
    - Vacation Mode can be extended to 3 Months.
    - Emails can be sent to the seller once the buyer marks the order as complete and leaves a feedback.

It's $5... but now it's super saturated and it's almost impossible to find a decent gig for something internet marketing related

As a seller I pretty much hate Fiverr. I started a gig offering a service that I could do in less than 30 minutes (manual social bookmarking). However, the gig never took off. I get the occasional order or two and the buyers are always very happy with what I offer as I don't use any crappy social bookmarking sites and I actually alter the title and description on different sites.

As a buyer I have a love-hate relationship with Fiverr. I mostly go there to buy backlinks.

What I don't like is that a lot of people use expired domains with no actual backlins and make a gig saying "I'll give you a PR3 backlink..."

I do, though, have got quite a few good backlinks from Fiverr.

Fiverr is for sure very, very saturated now when it comes to internet marketing gigs, but it's not so bad that I wouldn't recommend someone to try it out. Maybe for most people it's nice to start off on fiverr to earn some money that you can reinvest into another project

A lot of good opinions but mine:

As a seller: I want to just deliver quality work in 4 bucks.

As a buyer: I need quick delivery of work.
