i am not even big on fiverr. i have 10+ "dead" orders in my account since 3 years ago. i am talking about those "incomplete" orders thanks to the stupid fiverr programming. if buyer does not respond, it stays "incomplete." majority of them are most likely not even active on fiverr anymore. i cannot claim the money. buyer is not going to claim the money. so in the end, fiverr is going to silently keep the money for themselves for doing nothing. i imagine the money can easily add up to a large sum.

I once thought about the same thing myself. I bet its a great chunk of cash ghosting in their system.

WoW, I thought it's on my account only. I have incomplete orders for total over $200. Most of them are created just when fiverr start with their BS updates - I did not believe they do it to hold buyers money, but now I consider it a little bit. And yes, while this is not only for me this maybe means Million$. Damn!

As an owner of a large fiverr clone.... yes, this is true....

One big expense for these clones is the charge backs. I cannot fight a charge back as I can't "prove" a seller delivered an intangible good so I have to eat all of those costs. The incomplete jobs pay for the charge backs

Fiverr clones still exist! Your a hustler, good job staying afloat.

Why can't you prove the seller delivered the goods? Surely you can prove that within the messaging or system that you have. You really shouldn't have a ton of problem with chargebacks and losing.

Paypal are just dicks when it comes to a seller selling services (intangible goods).

Are you sure they keep the money? I would assume the funds would automatically default back to the buyer. It does on Elance.

Yeah, I sure wish paypal just accepted a conversation or a chat log as proof that an intangible good was delivered. It is still rule of thumb today that unless you have a UPS/Fedex tracking number you are screwed

I emailed you again and again for chargebacks and never got an answer though :D Pretty ironic to say that if you ask me
