Fiverr gig ranking observations for the past 72 hours...is it just my gig?

For the past 3 weeks I have enjoyed the number 1 spot for the keyword "YouTube"....where I offer 1000 views 100 comments blah blah blah. I also have the number 1 gig for "soundcloud"

That's not important. This resulted in 30-40 orders daily. I was pretty active in delivering them and then after a few weeks I decided to go on a schedule and deliver all the days work at 12:30 AM PST and at 12:30 PM PST.

When I went to this schedule, my ranking started to get screwed up.

For the past 72 hours, without fail, I have the number 1 spot for about an hour or 2 RIGHT AFTER I do the deliveries and then I will literally fall of the map. It's crazy...I'll get about 5 orders in that time and then NOTHING.

My gig will at least fall 12 places if not to page 2.

And then without fail...that night I will do the deliveries and then again (right now it is 1:40 AM PST) I am back up to the number 1 spot.

Only to fall again because of "lack of delivery"

I have always had 75+ gigs in queue....that never changes.

Anyone else have any info or observation? Any confirmations that this is how shit is ranked?

Even i have observed this in past, i made a gig, when it was new it got ranked in auto categorie. I was getting close to 5 orders a day. But due to increasing number of orders i stated delivering late, resulting to fall of my gig's ranking. For first 30 days i was averaging 3 orders a day. In next 30 days i got 3 orders every 2 days. And now when i am about to completed 90 day, i am not getting even a single order. So the key is

    1. Many orders in que
    2. Delivery as fast as possible

This sounds a bit odd but, if you get gigs ranked this is easily possible.

Well, my delivery is 14 days....it takes me that long (usually not, but some of them can drag on that long)....it seems that if you "slow down" in delivery that you get slapped down.

I will probably stay on this 12 hour rotation 1 more day for proof of concept and then switch back to delivering every 2 hours. Pretty messed up.

Exactly, getting late notification kind-off raises a flag i guess and gig goes down

I believe that is ranked based on the number of orders/good reviews and the speed of delivery

No, I NEVER have delivered a gig late.

That's what I'm saying, if I DO NOT deliver a gig every few hours, I don't have my top spot.

Not that I sell on Fiverr, but it seems they're looking at 'activity' levels perhaps. Are you currently active and delivering orders -- if so -- you get put up high. Kind of stupid though, as now you don't get any time off!

I've noticed something similar but i'm never late with my gigs. From minimum 10 orders per day it went to 1-2 orders per day.

That explains why I dropped to 7 for my niche when I was late for delivery.

Anyone have any experiences on mutual cancellation?

if what you are saying is true, then how do you get ranked in the beginning?
so what happens is that some diligent searcher goes through pages on fiverr and happens to purchase your gig. one coincidence though cannot keep your activity high..?

my success is very limited. i have delivered all my gigs in hours most of the time (if not within an hour!), but i hardly get 1 order a day, with 7 gigs posted! i also have 100% feedback so far, with no cancellation.

do you guys do any promotion such as bookmarking etc? i tried keyword density and tags.

    any advice?

I noticed my gig was returning to the 1st page of a keyword after a gig was completed. It's impossible to keep this up unless you do fiverr as a full time job and want to multi-account.

I got a Negative feedback today because the lousy buyer couldn't read the description and wanted hell a lot of articles from me.
Any Idea how to handle this? I am down to 97% rating and I am not yet lvl 2, So this hurts a lot.

Looking forward to what you guys have to say.

First, ask him if he wants a refund in exchange for removing the bad rating.
If he doesn't want a refund, offer the service he's asking if it's within reason and if your time allows.

If he doesn't want to do either, he's probably a competitor or just a scammer

this is exactly the reason i let my ebay account rot. the less money you ask, the more trouble you get.
now at least with fiverr i would just lose my time. give him back the lousy $5. (well it's not even $4 actually. almight fiverr takes a 20% bite and would not even pay for paypal fees!)

i even ran into this fiverr seller who bot my script and turned around to sell it on fiverr as "secret ingredients!" it gets worse - his search rank is higher than me with lower rating! WTF.
