Ok here's the story, I currently own a fiverr clone that is five months old. I am switching from a seo friendly name to a brand-able domain name and need advice on how to best advertise a brand-able domain name. Just to give some info so you can better help me. The original name to my site is best-fivverr-gigs and I am switching to giiraf. Why the switch? I wanted to get rid of a name with fiverr in it. Also I wanted name to be short and memorable. The original name ranks well with several keywords such as fiverr gigs, best fiverr gigs, and several others and we recieve some key traffic from that domain. The new domain will not rank so easily for keywords because it not keyword rich. So how best to get the new name out there? Your help would be much appreciated! To answer several questions that might arise:
    1) adsense and bing ads are out as they have decided that my site doesn't comply with ad policies. (which is strange because they accept fiverr)
    2) what promotion are you using currently? I am promoting site actively on twitter and facebook. Currently anyone who posts at least one legit gig will recieve a $3 credit to there account.
    Some info about site:
alexa ranking:4250159 (408393 for old domain)
google pr: 0 (1 fro BFG)
I think this is enough info to get a conversation started! Thanks for your help!

I don't see why the bashing? Cause you are a competitor obviously. We have had decent success with a limited budget so far. We have seven pages of gigs and have had 18 sales the last two months. If you don't want to answer question constructively please stay off my thread. Thank you!

nobody is fiverr"s competition firstly. They just got 15 million in funding if you knew anything. I am not trying to compete with fiverr. My goal is to compete with the top fiverr alternatives out there. I get a nice small flow of targeted traffic that has resulted in 18 legit sales ranging from five bucks to one that was seventy five, which if you can do the math is equal to 15 fiverrs for just that one sale. If your site is doing better than congrats but I don't see why your immature comments are hijacking my thread!?

I am running a Fiverr type website myself but it is entirely focusing on SEO only , Boosterrs is the name of the site. Giraff is not really sounding anything, you will need to come up with something better than that.. Are you focusing on any specific niche on your website or it will be service anything and everything similar to Fiverr? than there is no competition against fiverr

I wanted something short as a name that was easy to remember. Yooker doesn't mean anything either and they do 2800 a month profits. But its short and memorable. They recently went unsold on flippa so all their financial info was posted. The name I have chosen achieves my goals. The question was how to best market a brand-able name that doesn't rank easy with seo like the BFG domain did. For instance pepsi doesn't mean soda but now its what you automatically think of same as coke. But thanks for a constructive response and name dropping your site. Which is more then I can say for the other guy posting.

Site script is pricerr theme for wordpress and it works 100% with no problems in six months using it. They also update it with new features frequently. Feel free to post the name of your site so I can check it out. Also I happen to love the logo it was a present from my niece so thanks for bashing my family! Want gigs usually are crap so I don't care about that. I have obviously posted all of my gigs on my site why wouldn't I and as you can check yourself I have a 100% seller rating as all sellers who have made sales on my site do.
