I just started a new gig on Fiverr for some high PR EDU blog comments and got an order. Upon completion of the order, I provided a report to the buyer who then replied that it was not up to his standards LOL. Apparently he was expecting me to manually go to 100 high PR EDU properties and leave meaningful comments for FIVE DOLLARS. Are you serious? I even wrote three unique comments and spun them to human readable for this guy... on top of all that the link he provided was a YOUTUBE video -- I mean come on, a lot of webmasters would not accept a YouTube video as the "website".

I offered him a refund because apparently the service was not up to par with the guy... there is no point to this thread, just thought I'd take out some of my frustration :P but man oh man the things people expect for $5, as if I have no life to do hours of work for $5. Worst part is its going to lower my rating and there is nothing I can do about it.

That place is terrible. I sell a lot over there but it is just to shuffle them to another place I want them to be

you should not have given a refund man, you completed the job.

And you only get $4.

lol

I haven't tried it yet, I think some buyers go to there expecting a very nice gig for only $5. I think that they are running way from sites like odesk, freelancer and many others just to get a gig with high quality for just $5. This is very crazy.

I think that some gigs can be done for $5, like tips and advice, but others really can't.

The point is make something simple and guide the buyer to pay more for something more complete.

Same here. Got some clients complaining about 1 freaking backlink missing, from a bulk blast of 600+ lol. They want me to rank their sites for $5 dollars, huh.

Part of the problem is that buyers see such complex or time-intensive tasks that they expect the same from every seller.

For example, I've seen a gig to completely "fix" a business' online reputation for $5 when any respectable ORM is going to cost at least $400+ if you've got bad press online. I doubt the work has any effect, but the way it's advertised makes it look like a full-on ORM campaign.

So you've got a guy offering, theoretically, a $400+ service for $5, but you're offering a $5 service for $5, which is no longer fair in their minds.

This was the prime reason I stopped using fiverr a long way back. So much hassle for $4.

The only option to keep good review is over delivery, i always over deliver to all my orders .

It really feels sick when you get a negative rating after doing your best , so just over deliver ur buyers .

Over delivery can be interesting if you feel that the buyer may search for you for more high paid gigs in a near future, otherwise I wouldn't do it.

But since you put your service there, get a bad rep isn't a good deal, so over-delivering seems to be the best way to keep things going.

For me.... my orders go like, click, click, enter number, enter name, click, CTRL+C, click, CTRL+V, click, click, done. Literally. 100% rating over 500 orders so far :) (Don't ask me how much effort it was to set this up), but yea, buyers are capable of being a pain in the neck for $5, and some are immediately happy with anything more than a crumb of bread.

Seems like you get a notification on your computer as soon as a thread about fiverr is opened? :P ..just sayin..

Guess I'm not the only one that noticed that as well.

Some people are to greedy on fiverr... they will just blackmail (leaving negative feedback) you to deliver more than promised.. I suggest don't worry about these 1-2 buyers even if they give negative feedback.. If you deliver good you will surely develop good relation with other buyers who will regularly use your gig.
