Fiverr blocked my account because I did 1 dum thing telling buyer to buy 2 gigs instead of 1 for big job.

But I'm mainly a Buyer - not a seller. I had 24 open gigs with them $125 worth. They won't even respond to my tickets now - they just close it without responding.

Now how the hell do they think they can get away with Closing my Buyer Account AND KEEPING MY MONEY!!!!! I mean if you aren't gonna deliver the stuff I paid for, they need to refund me right.

This is so unethical and I am PISSED!

You violated their terms of service and thus voided the contract. I know it sucks but there isn't unethical here you broke the rules and got burned. It happens, best of luck in the future!

You violated TOS. Bring up a Paypal dispute for the money.

Yes it is illegal. Fiverr picks and chooses who they let violate the TOS. They know many people are doing it, but they mostly just let it slide. It could depend on who makes the complaint and if anyone else has ever filed complaint against that user etc.

Gigs that are offered are meant to be fully completed within 1 Fiverr. Only Top Sellers are allowed to offer services for more than a Fiverr. So whatever you and the seller agree to as far as the deliverable, you HAVE to complete it for a Fiverr.

Guess it's all down to how your gig is worded...

I've bought several gigs that i've had to pay 5 times for because I wanted 100+ seconds of video and the gig was for a 20 second video.

If you state dimensions, time limits etc etc and the buyer wants something double that then it's only fair that you charge accordingly.

    My opinion anyway...

i think they only have issues if you ask the buyer to pay for another gig, after he paid for 1

if you write it on your sales page or you are a top seller, then it's not a problem

Yes! All I did was tell her to buy 2 Gigs for a longer then normal HD Video I had done for her in the past as well and she agreed and bought the 2 then 4 days later I get blocked. No email notice nothing! Then everytime I open a ticket they close it with no response. So I called my Paypal Management Team, screw it - Im not gonna keep hounding and begging them 50 times - 5 is enough!

If it's like the OP says - he has the right to fight for his money and it's his choice, I'd also be pissed off.

Dude, you didnt get banned for asking them to pay more. It doesnt make sense, it had to be something else. That defeats the whole purpose of them being in business, theyre there to make money. If your gig is for a 30 seconds video and they want 60 seconds they have to buy 2 gigs. Thats not against their TOS.

THANK YOU! Exactly! Who just forgets about $125 and lets someone rip them off!! It's the principal of the matter. If they want to ban my account fine. But I'll be damn if you're gonna ban my account and keep money for services that I paid for and did not receive! Momma didn't raise no fool. If it was $10 maybe, but not $125. Sorry ut uh.

That is the only thing I have even sold on there recently in the last month - other then that I've been buying. So that has to be the reason as I did not do anything else. The person messaged me said they wanted the video as she bought it before and I did not have it posted up. So I told her I would make it but it had to be for 2 Gigs. She agreed - so I posted it and she bought it 2 times. 4 Days later I get email saying the 2 gigs were cancelled and that was it. Then I went to login and couldn't. They never sent any email telling me what I did wrong. So I have to assume that was why.

    Go for it mate!

Don't let them help themselves to money that isn't theirs to take. Eff their TOS. They provide a go between parties, a sort of escrow service it looks like to me.

Them helping themselves to your money because you offered advice to a client you where offering a service too, sounds legally dubious at best. I remember I use to frequent a forum where lawyers offered advice after hours, and terms of agreement was often brought up, I'm sure I remember some of them saying if most where challenged in a real court they'd be laughed out.

Email them and tell them they have fourteen days to refufnd all monies to you, for services not completed, if they don't you will serve them a LBA (letter before action) or the equivalent of where you come from. Telling them you intend to take them to a small claims court.

I reckon you'd have your money in no time, as if the action of keeping monies for a dubious TOS was found in your favour, that'd open them wide up.

How many other times has this happened to other fivver users? I'll bet a shit load, sorry for the language, but thieving bastards.

It's not illegal if you tell the buyer to buy you 2 times. Fiverr will ban you if you tell him to pay you outside fiverr. That way fiverr can't have those 2$ from the 2 orders.
