Here is the deal. I custom coded a php server based mastercp application that manages all my sites/clouds. I am thinking about selling it to the public now.

Here is the process/what it does.

You setup a hosting acount (anywhere, godaddy, your server etc)
Create a database on that account.

Then you input the ftp info, mysql info, etc into the mastercp and assign it a site type (site type explained below)

In the mastercp you create site types (word press, bans, cloak site whatever). When creating site types you define certain things like file update exclusions, config files/vars, sql installation files, and then assign that site type to a folder in the source tree.

In the source tree you set all file permissions just as they would need to be set on a running site. These permission are carried over to the slave/websites automatically.

    example
    /public_html/sourcetree/bans_files
    /public_html/sourcetree/cloaksite_file
    /public_html/sourcetree/wordpress_files

From then on you would not ever need to login to that site to make installations or updates, you manage all of them from the mastercpp.

You can edit each of the slaves/website files from the mastercp. You can even activate a remote mysql console to manage sql on the slave/website.

So now we have inputed sites and we now have different types. Now you can choose to install a site/s update site manually, globally, or based on file time differences.

For instance if you place a newer file version in the source tree all sites that are setup to "update for new files" would update automatically.

This tool makes mass installations and mass updates of "different" site types a breeze.

    Intrest?

If there is enough, I will get some videos up.

It's an interesting concept, but my inner blackhat keeps screaming "It's all on ONE machine???" eek!
