Just kidding, I'm 25 have horrible vision and still don't have glasses. I will eventually I'm sure (DMV renewal = probably will have to).

Anyways, if you're offended then I am sorry for the previous comment. Apart from this, I am glad that you didn't wait your vision to detoriorate further. Don't know if you are aware, but there are some breathing exercises that can go a long way in treating vision problems. Just 5 minutes a day.

Good choice to get glasses. They look good. I have horrible astigmatism as well. I get migraines when I don't correct my vision, so I'm always wearing contacts or glasses. Now that you've gotten them though, I'm sure you'll keep them.

Coming to the breathing exercises, I think one of the simplest breathing exercises is deep breathing. What I am going to say now is not just hearsay but my personal experience. I was having vision problems but I went on to cure it by taking some effective steps without undergoing any operation or medicine.
1) Deep Breathing: This consists of deep inhaling and then exhaling with a thrust. Gradually fill your lungs with oxygen and then exhale with full force. Generally, the upper region of our body doesn't get proper oxygen because we don't breathe properly. We are used to shallow breathing which is easier and comfortable.
2) Quick Inhale and Exhale: In this exercise, you just need to quickly inhale deeply and then exhale with force. It's very simple, if you understand the logic behind doing this. It improves your brain functioning in the long run. More oxygen means better functioning, you might be knowing this. Blood circulation improves and as the body part starts receiving optimum amount of blood, then its functioning also improves. It is a layman's science.
I do have other exercises, but I would suggest you to please start with these exercises initially. If you experience some change in couple of weeks, then you can PM me, I will inform you about other methods. Although, Internet is full of breathing exercises, but you should avoid to start with any random exercise. The ones I mentioned are basic exercises and can be performed by beginners. Hope it helps.
Marusia: Even I had severe migraine problems few months back, but I have successfully cured it by performing breathing exercises and yogic asanas. Morning jogging also to some extent. I remember when I used to get migraine attacks, then I felt as if someone is hammering on my head. The pain was unbearable, but I feel relieved that I no suffer from the problem.

Glasses look good.
I remember a year ago when I couldn't see as good as my Brother, so I went for a check up and then found out I was short sighted. The minute I put on the custom glasses, that changed the way I see things.
Now I have contacts, and they're even better

I'd say throw away your glasses
Look into the Bates Method and pinhole glasses to naturally improve your eyesight. Glasses will make your eyesite gradually worse most likely. Also look into astaxanthin supplements for your eyes and take them religiously.
Perhaps use what you taught us to improve your vision?
