A lot of people keep telling me that first you want to pick a target market of some sort (even the age is a good start), and then find some sort of demand or what they might be interested in, and present it on the platter.

So I want to do females between 26-38
    I'm not a female, I'm not even 26 yet.
    I know, I know.

But this is the target I want to do.
I want to do soemthing online

Any suggestions? Or sites I can check out to find out what they are interested in, and then draw conclusions from there?

Perhaps take a look at what you can find in quantcast.

Some of the suggestions above are decent. I'm curious why out of all the demographics you picked that one though?
