    Morning everyone

I'm looking for a little advice.

After ur rank n rent sites begin to rank and u get the odd phone call here and there. Let's say 2 or 3 a month in the early stages.

What's the best thing to do with them?

Currently I feel like I'm wasting them. For the minute I take the call and take a message advising that the person they need to speak with is on a job.

Then i ring around and give them to an actual contractor for free to try and build a network of potential future renters for when the site is getting a call a day and I'm in a place to negotiate a fee.

Thing is I can't always find a contractor that will take them which makes "my company" look a bit mickey mouse as no one ever calls the customer back. Recently iv been following up with the client by email apologising saying something along the lines of...... due to limited availibilty we are unable to help etc etc.

Does anyone have or is willing to share a better way of handling this?

    Cheers in advance

If I'm understanding everything correctly you would need to modify your plan. Whenever you start developing new local property you should network with service providers and let them know. Tell them that you will give them few freebies while you build up 10+ leads per month. After you start to get steady amount of leads tell them that you will give them your offer (whatever rental structure). Give 1 free lead to each of the service providers and continue to grow your SERP. You gave them free lead and that's something of value, it's like fish seeing bait. If your service provider is hungry he will take your bait & if service provider is hungry again they will contact you to ask you if you can give them more leads.

Build your network of service providers.

Yeah you understood that spot on.
Thanks mate. I'll have to start hitting the phones a bit more. The way things are at the minute I'm sure a few qualified leads will be welcomed

Also you could look for some low CPC long tails, get an AdWords voucher and do some PPC until your organic picks up.

Yeah iv been thinking about that. Would you favour normal AdWords over local ads that feature on the maps. I ask cos there's 80 quid free credit offer going on at the minute.

    Thanks

Tbh it depends on the niche but I'd imagine most people search normally. That said all you can do is test both and see what works.

Yeah that's a fair point. It's a local home services niche so alot of the main keywords bring up a map listing. Some of the long tails bring up maps but not AdWords.

Advice much appreciated will look into both. If I can get a good/low cpc I can try and run both.

    Thanks mate

I would save your Adwords credit for after you have paid customer. It's better to use your credit and show value to paid customer than to show value to non paid customer.

Also a valid point. Just keen to get the ball rolling on this one as my other RNR sites are a bit quiet due to the virus and clients are getting anxious. This one however has an emergency factor to it making it more necessary rather than a luxury ie house painting etc.
Can't hurt looking into it but as I said u gotta point. Once again thanks for the advice.

Why not leave the hustle behind dealing with bizowners who in many cases won't be able to close the lead and instead joint with payperlead networks so you can focus on the rankingpart ?

My original plan for free quote form fill leads at least was to set up a funnel. Add a limited one time offer on the thank you page , a discount or free additional service to encourage the lead to use my particular service as many ppl get multiple quotes. It would also help the person renting the website to close the lead if the customer had an exclusive offer.

I'm not very familiar with ppl networks. Vs you recommend any for home services in the UK?
    Thanks in advance
