Yes.. It is about a month or so old. Have about 50- 100 backlinks. So this is normal then. I mean I see some sites that regularly maintain this position. It varies on the first page but is still on the first page none the less. Is this maybe because they have way more backlinks then me?

the same thing happened to one of my sites, it is basically just the sandbox effect with new sites. just keep building links and adding new and unique content and it should be back up to the top in no time.

I'd also suggest improving your "average time on site" and bounce rate. I could be wrong but it seems like Google gives this stat value because time spent on site and low bounce rate are indicators that they have returned the correct result. Don't ignore the other suggestions link building, etc, but perhaps give a fresh read of your copy and look at your layout to improve user experience, and improve avg time on site and bounce rate.

Write a keyword rich article for your site and submit it to digg. It can/should give you a good injection for SERP.

You need to keep building backlinks. Google constantly re-indexes all the time. Just like when you use a web 2.0 site to get you to the top of Google, once they re-index you'll most likely lose your position unless you have a significant amount of backlinks pointing at your site.

But, congratulations on making it on the 1st page. :)

I've done this once or twice with an article are two. I didn't want to do it two many times though. Is this bad can I get banned from digg for that?

One of my sites did that once. I didn't let it stop me and just kept on with my daily link building and it came back after a few days and hasn't done it again since.

I always heard rumours the sandbox had you for a few months. Google didn't send me traffic for a couple of weeks (highly competitive market) but past couple of days they're my friends again and traffic has doubled. Nothing changed greatly...only new posts created by users
