Hello everyone,
I'm a new member in BHW, but I've been dabbling with online marketing since the beginning of 2017 with Amazon Affiliate Sites.
Back then I had a mentor who told me what to do and what resources to use, but I was extremely skeptical about the whole "make money online" thing that I disregarded almost everything he said. But I did follow his advice a little bit. Thanks to that, even though I was a total newbie and did things terribly, I made my first few cents online after like 3 months. If someone saw me how excited I was seeing those pennies on the Amazon affiliate section, they might have thought I won the lottery or something. I was screaming and jumping up and down constantly lol Anyway but that died down quickly after a few days and I didn't work on it so no more money was made.
Then I paid for a copywriting mentor and he was more strict so I made huge progress with him. I made $200+ under his guidance selling my copywriting service. But once again, my work ethic and belief system failed me to reach higher than that.
Now I see the pattern and I'm trying to fix my mistakes. Mistakes being: lack of patience, easily swayed by emotions, lack of work ethic, strengthening my belief that I can do this.
Since I have previous good experience with selling copywriting service, I'm going to focus on that. First, I'm going to focus on Fiverr. I used Fiverr last time with my mentor, but after I got a bit lazy and got a few bad reviews, I couldn't generate more traffic by manually going through the buyer requests. Since my only source of traffic was "shut down" I had no more revenue. But now I'm combatting that with new traffic sources. I'm not good with generating traffic, so I'm using a course on Udemy to help me learn how.
With the side income I generate with Fiverr, I'm hoping to buy a 15-inch Macbook Pro. It's always been a fantasy of mine. Sitting in a coffee shop and working with it in or on a university campus grass during a nice sunny day working with Macbook Pro. Right now I have a decent but not great Acer notebook that I bought 3 years ago.
Anyway I've created this thread trying to fix my work ethic problem by being accountable to you guys and updating this. Hope I don't give in easily this time.
