[First Journey] Content Site, Highly Competitive Niche, White Hat

You can purchase keyword research tools from group buy. It is cheap and it will belp you to reasearch faster.
I'm very happy with my Keysearch subscription at the moment :) I have 1K+ keywords that I need to write content for already in my list :)

[UPDATE]
What a busy month January was! A few things happened, of course mainly 'off-site' so statistics-wise it's small improvements.

A) I've found what I consider a goldmine for Volume/Difficulty. I'm starting to target these keywords but I need TONS of content. So I'm struggling to keep writing but whatever I publish starts to rank after just one day. Sometimes even top 5. I will keep my head down and keep producing content and see how well the 'volume' from Keysearch translates to real-life volume. If everything goes well I'm expecting 10kUV/m by Summer. We'll see.

B) I'm approved on Adsense. Wow! Very much unexpected as I've already got rejected 3x! Always due to low-value content. Now I'm approved without substantial changes to my page. The only changes are more content than when I previously applied. Guess I really am getting better at writing because this time around I was approved in 4-ish days. Super happy about that! Finally some encouragement to publish info articles.

C) I've also made some pocket money on Fiverr by doing some writing gigs. Around $100 earning. I really don't know what I need to do for Fiverr to show my gig though. I have 6x5star ratings, 1-hour response rate, yet I can't get any clicks if I'm not actively looking at buyer requests. Pretty meh.

Exciting times ahead! I'm still a tiny website by all means but I feel, that somehow, I'm on the verge of something big. All I need to do is push content like crazy.

yeah, expecting a new All time high in traffic numbers this comming summer!

[UPDATE]
Been a while since I updated this one. Jan-Feb was about writing a lot of articles, I pushed out an article every day. Bit burnt out by mid-March and I basically did nothing with the website since then. Now is time to get my head back in the game and start pumping out content again.

Traffic is picking up nicely and I'm very satisfied with adsense. Everyone is crying about adsense so I expected it to be s**ty but it works just fine. I'm around $25/m from adsense right now and + 25-50 ish from Travelpayouts so its not bad at all.

It was nice to take a break but it's time to continue.

Here's the past week from GSC:

Nice journey mate, i hope you will make it

[UPDATE]
It's time for an update. It's been a great summer for the site but not so much for the content. I wanted to write as much as I can early this year because I knew I would not be able to write during summer when there are so many things to do. Regardless traffic is going up and there is a nice overall increase in rankings. I've got myself brand new keywords ready for fall/winter that will rank nicely next summer.

I expect traffic to drop soon as most of my content is popular during summertime only.

Adsense + Affiliate revenue is around $50-$100 a month. It's a very nice amount that inspires me to keep my head in the game and continue growing. If I could get $100 a month I will get $100 a day. I know this. Adsense RPM is around 3-4 but I see it going up so maybe I will see a slight uplift in revenue soon. I'm not considering switching to anything else for the time being.

Here's last 3 months:

Overall I'm very happy with the progress and I'll contiue putting out articles. Once I achieve greater revenue I'll consider hiring some writers to help me grow quicker.

Thanks for following this journey I'll be back with some updates in a few months :)

Cheers!

When I started all this, I was marveling at sites in my niche with stats like this. And now I have such stats. Motivating AF to push forward.

BTW now that the slow summer months (slow as in not writing anything) are over I'm getting my head in the game. I did one article a day this week and I want to keep this pace up or increase it if possible.

Nice stats. How many articles do you currently have on the website?

Great job on taking the first steps in your white hat journey! You seem to be off to a great start with your goals in mind. Keep up the good work and you will be sure to achieve success.

What affiliate networks are you using?

I use travelpayouts and separately the booking(dot)com affiliate network. Very satisfied with both.

Nice stats. How many articles do you currently have on the website?

Well, I do like to go for low-hanging fruits with low traffic so I have 250+ articles already. Hopefully, I'll be 300+ by the end of the year. Also, the first 100 or so of my articles were pretty much part of the SEO learning curve for me. Started from literally '0' knowledge.

Good luck, mate. Keep updating us. Your journey inspired me a lot. I'm planning to start my own journey.
