First ebook, need advice!

I have written my first ebook and I went all out. 80 pages of extensive research on the topic of "fandoms" 6 months of research that I am using for myself I thought I could make extra money selling it too it is called "Fandoms and Why They Make Money" It explains what exactly a fandom is and how it can be used to make people work for you for free and make you money.

What do you guys think? Will it sell at all? It is great info imo

Well if I'm being completely honest I think you have wasted your time. Firstly you have dedicated 6 months of effort to such a niche topic without knowing if it will be successful, you should already know the answer to that question. In future I would advise you to test a niche far quicker with less effort e.g. a shorter version, and then if it has worked you know it's worth releasing a superior version that readers will actually be thankful for.

Looking on Amazon I can see that the best ranked books for "fandom" are not very popular, yet their quality is high, so I'm basing my judgement from that alone.

Also I wouldn't advise you post your future titles on here, as people will jump on it immediately if it was successful.

JadMac has a point. But since you already have a finished product, you might as well try to sell it. Don't let all your efforts go to waste. If it's a good quality eBook, you might find some buyers. Good luck!

Depends on how much you are selling it for and who is all looking for this information. I am sure that the book is great but until you try to sell it, you will not know.

It seems like a very unique topic to me. And, I have not seen any other ebooks with this theme. With that being said. You need a stronger headline for your ebook, a better title.

The current title has no real punch, nothing to compel the potential buyer to click that buy button.

You could even go old school with something like, "Moneymaking Riches with Fandoms" as the title and then have a sales page describing why fandoms describing more about what fandoms are and how they can be used (without giving away too many secrets). For this topic, I would suggest starting an email list of potential buyers.

Maybe you could give the first chapter of the ebook away for free. This chapter would be a good way to showcase the quality of your content and just enough to wet the appetite of your buyer.

Market your email list for the ebook in the same way as you would anything else.

give it a try it may sell and try lower prices initially.

You can also submit it at SEOClerks. They allow ebooks to be sold there as long as you have the resell rights.

its your first book that is why it took you so long. I believe all is not lost and according to me, that is a very good topic that can attract many buyers given a good promotion. every body loves money,. who doesn't? make sure you create that curiosity for us to read the book. I personally i am already curious to read the book. you took a step to write it, now take the next step to market your product. All the best and I will be looking forward to seeing it being sold. thanks
