So over the last 3 months I've been developing a custom content locker for a website idea that I came up with (while :44:). My website/content locker is completely unique and the method is very unique (I've never seen it done before), so that's why it taken so much time and money to develop. I've probably put well over $5,000 into developing the website, so I am really crossing my fingers that I'm on the right path.

Anyways, today I did a very small test and I think the results look promising:

    Unique visits: 160 visitors
Clicks to Aff. Offers(from content locker): 42 unique, 145 total
    Conversions: 3
    Aff. Income: $67.20

For the record, I didn't really put any effort into picking offers for the locker. Obviously that is something I need to work on. You can see from the click results that users are really interested in completing an offer, they just aren't very comfortable with the affiliate offers that I have setup. The 3 offers the user can pick from right now are a credit report offer, e-cig offer, and a penny auction offer. All of these require a CC# to be submitted, which I'm sure throws off the users.

I really think I might have something here, but I know I still have a long ways to go. The two things I will focus on now are:

    1) finding better offers to test/split-test
    2) find and test traffic: I have a requirement built into the script that requires the user to ALSO share my website on facebook, twitter, etc. to unlock the content, so I plan to build initial traffic via social media

So, what do you guys think about these results?

From your personal experiences, does this look like a good conversion rate for a content locker? (Note: the visitors were pretty general and not that targeted)

What suggestions would you have, if any?

Thanks for the help guys, I really hope I can make my investment back

Is the traffic redirected from somewhere or you are getting organic from SEs?

Well this was just a small test so all I did was posted my website link to a few active forums to get some instant traffic. So the traffic either came directly through those links or they typed the url into their browser.

If you earn 10k a day, there is no and i mean NO reason to even TRY to create more, if you have 2 braincells of which 1 is semi active, you never have to move your fingers for life ever again while still maintaining full capital.

And you don't seem to have a clue of what you're talking about...

You're implying that if one makes 10k a day, they should never EVER even try to make more??? What a sick mentality!

You gotta STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH! If you know what I mean!

You don't know what his first method is, he might be have that one automated and is now looking for other methods to make more money.

That's ridiculously stupid comment and for many reasons. Not everything lasts. You might get 10k now but it will end sooner or later. Been there and experienced that. The perfect time to set up new revenue sources is when you're getting lots of money from elsewhere - NOT after your revenue has dried up.

Have you even read what i said?

How come people who seem to think about money all day long here have NO idea how to handle money?

Have you ever wondered why people who bulk with money do NOT have it in cash? It's called investing, and once you have a certain amount of money, you invest in passive things that generate you more money.

Have 3 million? Sure, ill take some high dividend trackers @ 6%, thats oh, 'only' 180.000 dollar a year for doing nothing, gee.

Whoever is sitting on a pile of fiat money, especially in these periods, must be crazy, out of their ****** mind, or just plain stupid, nobody sits cash.

What you said is ridiculous. Do you have any experience in affiliate marketing? I have been in this game for 6 years and I have NEVER seen a campaign that is consistent for an extended amount of time. I've had $15,000 days and I have had $15 days. There are way to many variables involved in this business.

If you want to have long term success in this industry, you better start changing the way you think. Just because you have one winning campaign today, doesn't mean it will be there tomorrow.

Oh, and how do you maintain full capital without lifting a finger ever again?

That's exactly what I am doing. I am investing my money into projects that will earn me MORE money.

Why the fuck would I want to make 6% a year investing into other companies, when I can generate a far better return investing in my OWN businesses.

If you had one braincell then you would know that nothing lasts forever. Having all your eggs in one basket and thinking they'll never break is a really bad plan.
