    Hello guys!

Carreira here. The oldest members might remember my journey. I hit the goal in my journey and I stopped posting on it - I actually didn't visit it anymore since I'm lazy and as you can see this is my first post since a lot of time (I have been lurking, but not really participating these past months).

Well, I make a full-time income by writing, as you can see by my journey somewhere on the blog, but I want to diversify my money. Most of my clients make their money selling stuff - so I thought I could use my writing abilities to profit myself.

I thought about creating a Site to sell a clickbank product, but I thought that since I know nothing about SEO - that would be hard.

So, I went to create a free wordpress blog about a product - BUT how to choose the right product? (I thought)

With this in mind I said "f*** it, I'll create 6 free wordpress blogs on different products... one of those might succeed.

    So:

    - I created 6 free blablalba.wordpress.com sites and populated them with 6 articles, 1 each day.
    - I started to get some visits, not much, something between 1-5 views per day.
    - 1 of those blogs got 14 views, 2 clicks, 1 sale.

The best thing? The sale was a recurring monthly service of $26

I feel great because I only had 14 views and 2 clicks and got a sale - on a FREE wordpress blog!! Now I know it is possible.

I started to take my free time to write articles. I bought a domain which I will turn into an authority site monetized with clickbank related products and I already have 49 articles ready... I am eager to launch it....

I posted this because I didn't feel this excited in a long time...

    I have a question:

You just posted articles to your blog and visitors suddenly come to your blogs? Or do you promote them anywhere?

    Thanks

Yes! Imagine if I get a refund... but more than the $26... it's knowing that it is possible! I make more than $25 a day writing it's not because of the sale per se.

But I honestly thought I couldn't sell because I don't know SEO and they were free blogs and all of that... this gave me some motivation in order to build that authority site I'm working on.

    I have two questions:

    1. Did you create all 6 products yourself? You said you've created 6 free websites for 6 different products.

    2. How many words on average were those 49 articles that you've wrote? Were those articles "How to's" ? Or just discussing your subject?

14 views and 2 clicks - 14% click rate. That is quite outstanding for a young, free website.
And 1 sale is 50% conversion for a subscription product... unbelievable.
Would you mind to reveal that website? (here or PM)

    Thanks and congrats!

    1. No mate, I am just an affiliate. I created those 6 free websites for 6 different products I chose from the Clickbank Marketplace. I created 6 sites for 6 different products because I don't know about choosing the right product and I wanted to make sure I would be choosing at least 1 correctly xD

    2. The 49 Articles are for the Authority Site I am creating, the site that sold the product has 6 articles of 400-700 words and are about the product. The 49 Articles on the Authority Site cover pretty much everything about the niche and average 700 words each.

I can't reveal the website because I heard it might harm me and I'm not done with it (obviously now I am going to add more content to try to scale it)

Thanks... maybe I just got lucky, but what the hell :D

So your authority site covers more in depth the articles you posted on the other 6 niches you have? So your authority site is chill to have 6 different niches on? trying to figure all this out myself, thank you :)

No, the authority site is for a different product and different niche.

I will keep updating those 6 now that I got a sale, those 6 are all standalone sites with no link between them, the authority site is the same, but instead of being a wordpress blog and having 6 articles promoting the product is a paid .com domain with ~50 articles all about that niche (not about the product which has a sales page on one of the tabs.

I always wondered how to write that many articles about just one topic. It always seems to me that after writing a 800 words article on some topic - I have nothing else to say.

Would you mind sharing your technique of content creating?
Do you have a "how to" and "secret revealing" content or just discussing the subject?

I see this as walking a thin line between "fluff" and "really useful information unavailable anywhere else". It is also in our interest to keep the "fluff" out of content to keep the bounce rate low.

I know what you are saying! I felt this way too a long while back when I began writing.

I joined in 2002 and I achieved my full-time income in IM by freelance writing (that's my current main activity and what pays the bills). I have been writing for years now, so I got some helpful techniques on how to be able to unfold subjects and keeping them interesting.

A good tip I can give you is to divide everything you wrote on that 800 words article by topics, arranged by different ideas, then just write articles about each one of these topics. Read these articles and divide them by ideas, then write an article about each of these ideas.

Also, lurk around for that niche on google and find out some ideas you are not covering - write about those ideas.

Should I make a method on content writing?

Congrats on your first sale. Keep doing what you're doing, it will definitely be worth it.

I've been a writer for roughly 8 years, so maybe I can answer this question. Writing multiple articles on one topic depends a lot on the niche, but you should always be able to write more than one article about anything. If you're stuck and can't figure out anything else to write, try thinking of a question someone would have regarding your topic. For example, if you're writing about a specific dog breed, write some articles like "Are xxx breed hard to train?" "Do xxx dog breeds get fleas/ticks?". Not all of your articles need to be 800 words either.

Thanks for the help Swordude, nice to see a fello 350 w writer chime in. Yeap, the perfect format for me is 400-1000, I mostly write 750 words mixed in with 350 words.

Using the search autocomplete feature is also a good tip! Write on autocomplete ideas.

If you don't know everything about that subject, then you definitely have at least 50-100 articles to write about that particular subject. You're right that most of the things you might write can already be found somewhere else, but that applies to almost everything in life. For instance, take engineering textbooks for example, say a subject like Thermodynamics. I am sure you would agree that there are probably 100+ Thermodynamics textbooks out there, and ALMOST every single one talks about the same damn things (at least the core concepts, principles and formulas). But yet they are still able to be sold.
