UGH! i hate when people say this. The commission rate from Amazon is NOT CRAPPY. Sure, electronics are 4%, and that's simply because the profit margins on electronics in general is so low, that Amazon probably only makes something like 6%-8% at the most. 4% on a $2,500 TV is still a $100 commission. That's pretty damn good if you as me.
What are you comparing too anyway? All of the electronics store affiliates pay equal or less than amazon. Are you comparing to ebay's 50%? You do realize that you get 50% of the small fees ebay charges, not the sale price of the item, right? Are you compairing to CPA? Because that is an apples to oranges comparison.
I just don't get why people say this.

Congratulations on your amazon venture. I just started getting into them this month. Ashame that those big companies keep handcuffing their affiliates. Not good business if you ask me.

i am curious about amazon...does their cookie work site wide? for example if someone clicks through my link to a teddy bear, and ends up buying $5000 worth of vegan mashed potatoes do I still receive commission? Because i kind of feel like they are cheaping me to some extent here. Does anyone have any light to shed on the matter?

Yes, it works site wide.
i've had 0 success with amazon so far, but thats with using banners and putting their little product snapshots on my blogs etc, so far like 400 clicks and no sales...
i wanna try ppc, but i can't figure out what type of landing page may work, or hell which amazon products are worth trying to sell lol do they have a way to see which products have a high sell through rate
As for this thread congrats on the 3500 sales... 8 products sold so that means your selling something around 435$ or so thats some big ass sales
