Firefox to get Direct 2D Support

    Mozilla has released an alpha version of Firefox which uses Direct 2D to render the page. Essentially this means that the brunt of rendering is now handled by the GPU, as opposed to the CPU, which should lead to faster load times.

    Ive had a play about with it and it is definately a lot quicker and graphic intensive pages, such as facebook etc.
