I don't know about you, but I often have work to get done. This work involves using different search engines. FireFox in the new version 34 decided that they would do away with the search bar we are used to and replace it with pretty pictures. I don't know about you, but I can read a lot faster than I can remember what pretty pictures represent. If you are unhappy with the search bar in FF 34, you can change it back to what you are used to by entering about:config in the url bar and searching for browser.search.showOneOffButton. Once you find the entry click it to set it to false. When you restart FF you will have your original search bar back. I was so pissed at this change that I deleted Yahoo search results once I returned the search bar back to the original bar. Yahoo results are largely the same as the Bing results anyhow. FF uses Yahoo by default now instead of Google, but if you have set Google as the default search provider, FF will not change that setting. However the new pretty picture will not allow you to delete a search provider you ad, or that is added for you, you can only delete a search provider through about config or the old search bar settings.
