I'm sure many of you were affected by the recent Firefox shitstorm that the stupid sons a bitches caused with the extensions.

Well I was too. Many extensions on my many Firefox browsers were disabled, but I also couldn't reinstall them, I would always get an error.

Today I found a solution, so I thought I shared it with yall:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disabled-add-on-fix-52-56/

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disabled-add-on-fix-57-60/

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disabled-add-on-fix-61-65/

Depending on the version of your Firefox, visit the correct link from above and install the extension. As soon as you do all your disabled extensions will become enabled and work again :)

When you're done, you can go and remove the "add-on-fix" extension you just installed. Your other add-ons will now be enabled and work normally like they always did.

If I helped anyone, I accept payment in the form of cash, cheque and full frontal nudity :D

A little strange ... After the last update the ad blocker plugin and the movie downloader did not work.
I tried removing them and then reinstalling but it did not help.
so i went to bed and in the morning they acted as usual.
I did not really think about it because it work itself out :D

Do you use the latest version of Firefox and have it automatically update when updates are available?

There you go, that's probably it. I think once Firefox released the fix they sent out the update to all... updatable browsers :p

I have my main Firefox that I keep updated and all, and I had no problems with it.

But I have about 100 other Portable Firefox browsers I use, older versions, updates turned off... and some were affected and some weren't. And while nothing important was affected, it still messed up with my organization here. Extensions like uBlock, and Image Block, and others that are not absolutely necessary to me but I still use were affected, and it was annoying. I tried finding a solution on the day it happened, and tried a few things, but gave up because fuck I'm busy, fuck you Firefox!!! :D

Anyway, earlier today I figured a few days have passed, let me check if there's a solution now, and indeed there was. The links I shared in my OP work like a charm, restore all your disabled extensions, beautiful.

Yes that solves it. But for people that use older version of Firefox for whatever reason, they can't update. For them the solution I shared will solve it without having to update.
