    Confusing Method To Find Keywords

I read this method in a WSO, but I do not think it is valid: Consider an evergreen market representative KW like "weight loss",add the root KW in the Google Keyword Tool and choose the URL of any of the top 10, then go to GKTool and add a competitor's URL in the "Website" search box.

Within the results look for some KW about 10,000 searches, then put it between "" with
real term search feature see the longer tail KWs and putting it in "", adding different google's sugestion words to the original KW untill the search results are very narrow.

For example, starting with the huge KW "make money" the example ends up with "how to make money selling things", which has only 8 results between "".

    Summary

    1. You need to have a seed keyword to begin
    2. Search Google for that keyword and note the top ranking sites and copy the URL of the one you like most
    3. In Google Adwords Keywords Tool (preferably after you log in) paste the URL in the Website box and hit Search
    4. Find the keywords with high Global Search volumes but low on competition (following the Green Bar indicator)
    5. Dig those keywords further until you find Long Tail Keywords that have really low competition (using good old Google "phrase" search)

Now, what I didn't understand why he didn't mention the search volume of of those Long Tails. For example he seemed to be pretty excited to find the Long Tail keyword "relationship communication skills men" but failed to understand why . . . not sure if he wants the viewers to create websites around each one of those long tail keywords which, I doubt, have very low search volumes.

Then the phrase "how to make money selling things" is presented as a winner, but if you go back to the Google Keyword Tool it only has 28 global monthly searches [exact]!

This is very confusing, what do you guys think of that method, please?

    Thank you
