Have a local business and site that always ranked #1 for my terms. now im #2 with one site seemingly being the new #1. WHats best way to research how he was able to do this and how to beat him at his own game. Would Moz or ahrefs be the way to go to see what he did or something else? Duplicate his links? Or i do have a second site built that I may run a seo package to in order to get this second site high in rankings. Not sure of the right approach. Has a good GMB page for my business and post there like 1x a month. Also use social media as well but probaly not enough. Not doing any sort of SEO work which I assume he has done. thanks
update: i installed seoquake and here is comparison of my site (bottom) to his (top). he has a massive amount of backlinks it seems. Guess thats where i have to beat him? What would be the approach? im way out of the seo game so appreciate any advice.
