I stumbled upon this method while I was checking out the backlink profile of some domains on AHREFS. I found and registered 4 really good domains in a couple of hours. I?m sure the method is already out there but I couldn?t find it on Google or BHW. Sorry if it?s already been posted before. You need only 5 bucks to use this method. It?ll be used to buy a shared (group) subscription of AHREFS from fiverr. Everything else will be accomplished using free tools. You can get some great domains very quickly. So here goes. Tools you need : AHREFS Shared Subscription (fiverr) https://urltodomain.com/ https://www.godaddy.com/domains/bulk-domain-search.aspx http://www.checkmoz.com http://www.trustflowchecker.com Step by step instructions : -Login to AHREFS and select Site Explorer. Enter a website you?d like to scrape for expired domains like nytimes.com/mashable.com/huffingtonpost.com etc. -In the outgoing links section, select broken links. -Export the broken links as a CSV, open it in excel and copy the URLs of the broken links (Column H) -Go to https://urltodomain.com/ to convert the URLs into root domains. Paste the URLs from excel into the input box, deselect the ?Include Subdomains? option and make sure remove duplicates is selected. You?ll now have a list of the root domains which you can use to check availability. -Go to the Godaddy bulk domain checker and paste the URLs (500 at a time). Alternatively, you could use https://www.namebright.com/BulkSearch (5000 domains per search) but they don?t support as many tlds as Godaddy for bulk checking. Also consider checking EuroDNS and some other registrars. They all support different tlds. Once you find out what?s available, select the copy all option (Godaddy) and copy all the URLs Thanks to the list of broken links you already have, it doesn?t take more than 5 minutes to find some expired domains. All the crawling is already done for you. But you?ll have to spend a little more time spam checking the domains and checking their metrics. -Go to http://www.checkmoz.com and paste the available URLs. Let it do its thing. You?ll have the DA and PA for all the domains. Choose whichever ones you like. -Go to http://www.trustflowchecker.com and paste the domains which met your minimum DA/PA criteria (10 at a time) to check their TF & CF. -Go back to AHREFS to check the backlink profile of the domains you like. -Go to Wayback Machine/ Screenshots to check the history of the domain. Thats it! You?re done. Using the AHREFS crawler is much easier than running your own crawlers if you?re just starting out and don?t have a lot of money to spend crawling for expired domains. If anyone knows some better tools that we can use, I?d love to know about them. I hope you?ll find this useful.
