It has been a crazy ride since I've joined BHW.. I have tried many methods before and have had success with them. Making $200 a day with movie sites back in the day, and then into the service industry where I was getting a few high-end sales, but all of those were short lived. After that, I've kinda been in a dry period which was really frustrating. But even though things didn't look good I didn't give up, instead I told myself that I'd stick to one thing and keep on doing it until I made it again. With all the methods going around, It's pretty hard focusing on one method.

6 or so hours left and I'm already at £30, which is about $48. So by tonight, I think I'll reach $70.

This is all with one site which is ranking #8 for a 210k and a 70k exact searches per month keyword.

Anyway, next goal is $100/day.. Bring it on! :D

I'm really grateful to all the awesome people on BHW, I wouldn't have done it without them!

    Thanks man :)

I'm not sure if all the traffic is from that keyword, but the site gets around 500-600 uniques per day.

That's awesome! Now you need some more sites because inevitably that one is going to drop rank for some reason at some point and you don't wanna go completely dry again. Best of luck.

500-600 uniques a day? I get 300-400 (3000+ pageviews) on one of my sites and I'm lucky to earn $1 :(

You've given me new motivation to find an ad placement that works, because if I could get even $10-20 a day I'd be happy with the site.

You're right, I've actually built around 50 sites and this one was a gem found hidden within those sites I created back in January.

This site is far from its peak, but as soon as it gets a good earning history I'll be offloading. :p

Yeah, It has surprised me too. I guess I found a really good niche.. high CTR as well as a high CPC.

I only use 2 adsense blocks, a 336x280 under the title and one skyscraper on the sidebar.

Try blending your ads and see what happens.

    Good luck mate :)

I've got one across the top and one in the sidebar, the CPC I'm getting isn't bad ~$0.80, it's just the 0.10% CTR is killing me.

I'm working on a script to make the sidebar ad scroll up and down with the content so it and the facebook like box are always in view, I'll see how that goes.

I've always subscribed to the notion that you get the traffic first and then figure out what to do with it. Good luck selling your site though, should bring a decent amount.

It has around 30 pages of unique content.

For backlinks, I try to get every type possible to get a good link profile. Building one type of link I think is a bad signal.

Build a few of everything, never rely on one service to get your site ranked and make sure to diversify your anchor text.

It's all about partial match these days: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/beyond-e...ext-generation-link-signals-whiteboard-friday

I have most SEO software's such as SENuke,AMR,Scrapebox and BMD, but I've also a bought few services from BHW and Fiverr to speed up the process.

By across the top, do you mean a banner ad in the header? If you don't have a rectangle right under the title of the post, then you're missing out on a huge chunk. My 336x280 ad is pulling at least 95% of the clicks.

That script sounds interesting, just make sure it isn't breaking the tos or anything like that.;)

It's actually been consistent for the past 3 or so days and I only see it going higher.

I'm already at $65 with 5 hours to go, should hit $80 by the end of the day.

That setup isn't really possible on this site, it's more of an entertainment blog with pictures and text than an information site.

Thanks for mentioning the TOS, I should probably ask google since I don't see anything in the TOS about moving ads. Although all I'm doing is changing the positioning from relative to fixed when the user scrolls past a certain level.
