4G has finally come to my city today, I was actually expecting it to roll out closer to the end of march, but its here today.:) Download Speeds are as high as 12.8Mb/s and upload is as high as 5.4Mb/s

Edit: My bad, is the 4G WiMAX or LTE? Either way I think 4G is way overrated. It's only just coming out in the UK.

I dunno I much preferred the idea of WiMAX, I think LTE sucks but then again I haven't really looked into it.

Its the LTE, WiMax is an older slower form of 4G.

Apparently WiMAX has a potential of up to 1 Gbit/s download for fixed stations. It is also an open standard whereas LTE is controlled by commercial organizations. Unfortunately the only real issue with WiMAX would probably be the frequency it is allocated on.

Its not actually in my city, I'm about .4 to .5 miles from the cut off range of 4G. I might drive closer to the cell tower and see how fast it can get. But the speed I am able to get to at night is still pretty awesome compared, and I'm considering cutting my home internet down to a lower level.

But you have no real flatrate or do you? I mean, what will bring you 12 MB/s of downstream if you have a limit of 5GB a month?

I have an unlimited plan currently with sprint, but I'll go with Millincom instead of Sprint when I decide to get a mobile broadband plan, they use same network but do not consider anything under 50GB as excessive use and possible violation of their tos. Whereas I heard Sprint can say your violating tos after 5GB,but one sprint person said they had a client use 130GB of data with sprint.

One more question! Does the ip address change on each new connection? If yes then is it in your city when you check geo location.
:)

I havn't checked if it changes with a new connection, but I was able to find the tower. I found out that I am .7 miles away from it. I was able to get 23Mb/s down and 8Mb/s up when I was moving away from it at around 30 miles/hour in my car, while in the full bars quality. I'll get out of my car in an hour or so nearby it and see what kind of speed I can achieve.
