im 17 and just got into cpalead and it says i need to send them the w-9 in order to get paid, do i need to be 18 to fill out the w-9 or can i just fill it out and send it to them

you could lie, then correct it later before it goes to irs, just add a year to your bday. like 88 change it to 87. then tell your accountant what happened

You do not have to enter a birthday on a w9. At least any I have seen.

You do not have to be 18, and they should really have no way to know your age.

I know in Ohio all you need to get a job is a work permit if you are under 18. I don't know if that applies to AM or not since minors can't be in a legal contract.

Depends if you are in the U.S. or not. If outside i would not worry about it if inside either lie about you age or exagurate . Just put 18 could be a mistype....

I'm 16 and got several payments from many networks without anyproblems. Have u ever take a look on W9 form? It does not require any birthdate. If you just give ur SSN with your birthday to any employer, then it would be any more secured since you need mostly SSN and birthday to verify any payperwork such as open bank account and credit card.

Gotta open your eyes widely.:)

yep he is rigth w9's dont ask age. Never has.. I cant think of any aff network that has asked age up until now...

You could always do it under your parents name. Thats what I do, but when I start making some good money, I might regret that...they're gonna start asking some questions...some very difficult to answer questions.

So for a site that requires you to be 18, such as Adsense, you can lie about your age even if you put your real SSN and they wont notice?
