    Hi,

I've been wondering about something when I checked some sites lately.

    1. I understand that lots of you guys have websites with very poor quality content high on the SERPS. So, when a user arrives on your website, I guess they will not be tempted to stay long and try to understand what is written there.
So, my question is : how do you make people click your links (affiliate links, adsense,...) as soon as possible, before they leave because they see your content is bogus?

    2. What works best on those low quality content sites? Affiliate link, adsense, something else?

Maybe my question is not very clear. What I'm really wondering is, what are you guys doing with SPUN content? Are you putting it only on web 2.0. , and other linking sites? Or can you actually have your money website full of spun content?
And, if you do have spun content on your money website, then how do you manage to have visitors clicking your links. And there comes the next question : what kind of links would that be? Affiliate links, or adsense, or anything else?
I'm really curious about this, so I really hope to get an answer from any of you.

Generally speaking its not a good idea to have spun content on your money site. At least from my experience.

Most people have freshly written on their money site.

Spun content is typically used on web 2.0s and other back link ventures, as you've mentioned.

That being said, I'm sure there are others who use autospun content on throwaway money sites just to make quick $$$ before any sort of penalty.

However, if you plan to keep your money sites around for a long time and prefer not to have them get trashed at some point, make them squeaky clean (no auto-spun, or even hand spun).

Affiliate links will typically not work well on "low quality" sites - the idea is to get people hyped/excited/convinced to buy into whatever your affiliating.

Adsense can still work with low quality sites: People search for something, they come across the top result (your money site), its a piece of crap and difficult to read, but then they see relevant adsense links, $$$.

What exactly can happen? Except a negative movement in the SERPS.
And, what if nothing happens? What if I manage to "stay under the radar" , what is the best way to monetize a crap content site?

Well, that's what I was thinking too. Is there any good strategy about using adsense? Like, where on the site to put it, what color, etc... ?

No exact answer for that - wherever people are most likely to click it.

The only way to find this out is run weekly/monthly tests and move the links around and annotate whether your CTR is -/+.

Me personally, before I was aware of SEO and all this IM stuff... If I came across a crap content page, I'll click on a text link that appears more relevant to "what I was REALLY looking for" if its smack in the middle of paragraphs.

Just make sure to follow Ad-sense guidelines.

Yeah, those guidelines are quite interesting indeed ;-)
That reminds me. Many years ago I messed about with adsense, and I had my account blocked. Would I still be blacklisted after all these years? :)

Well poor quality content can actually increase adsense CTR because the user still needs to find good content. However, you aren't going to rank high for long, Panda will penalize you for the crap content.

Its not wise to use spun and crap content nowadays. Better invest more and get long term results with high quality content instead of short term results with crap and spun content.

We know that content always king, some websites with very poor quality content high on the SERPS, it's possible if website have quality backlink such like web 2.0 and other best quality backlink. But more I have checked who's website have very poor quality content it's SERP's results not fast rank.
Some point always follows such like
    Website has unique content
    Keep update daily
    Create some web 2.0
    Regular promotion
In all above process, traffic normally generated, if traffic come people click your links means increasing affiliate links, adsense earning.

Well, as I said, I'm testing something right now, which I have a strong feeling it will work.

Is there only the google algoritms that can penalize your website? Or, could for example a discontented user (or competitor) go and report your site to google?

And, about that panda and penguin update. Can anyone tell me exactly what it does? Or, is there a place where I can read about it, so that I can understand it better? I'm looking for good to the point information about it.

This little project is not about long term results. Just something I wanna test and finetune if it works as desired.

Meanwhile, I've looked up some info about the Panda and Penguin updates.
I think my idea will work...
