    Hi all!

I see since the posting of montyp's
    Code:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/member-downloads/54474-get-product-creation-vid-noobs.html
that there is a veritable explosion of requests for writers/ researchers in CL's Manila writing/ editing jobs listings.

Anyone want to share their experiences with finding someone able to produce quality content like the vid indicates, and what kind of compensation you are paying?? I'm wondering if too many offers are driving up the compensation. If you check some of the statistics, the cost of living is extremely low, with college professors making approx. US$1,300/ mo.

Any feedback would be worthwhile for the rest of us.

    Thanks and Cheers! :)

    Hi magcshroom!

Thanks for answering. I was mainly wondering how much people are paying and for what. I'd like to connect up with a writer or two, but I'm curious as to how much to offer for research or writing a finished (final editing by me) product.

Like I said before, any info gratefully accepted! (And I'll prob. take you up your offer to connect me with your contact's friends.)

    Cheers! :)

depends on quality, i think there is one writer here in the forum. I have my own team, outsourcing is good but takes alot of trust and parameters for them to make sure that everything gets done right.

    Just my 2 cents

    catz.

I've had both good and bad experiences. Like anywhere, there are unreliable Philippine workers who won't do what you ask and make promises that are never filled. On the other hand there are some great people who write better than many native English speakers. No, I'm not sharing my good writers.

Average pay for a good writer is about $5 an hour, the cheaper ones tend to be less reliable/good.

    Hi mpruben!

Thanks for responding and actually stating an amount. So you pay on an hourly basis? I see on one of the earlier postings on CL when this really got started that the offer was 6,000 pesos which currently works out to $124:
    Code:
    http://manila.craigslist.com.ph/wri/1005509144.html
Pretty good for part time work.

Most of the advertisements simply say payment to be determined.

Considering that teachers make average gross monthly income of 15,000 pesos or $310, with 14% mandatory deductions, how much product / how many pages do you get for your $5? (BTW - these are 2005 figures.)

    Thanks for any input!

    Cheers! :)

BTW - I don't blame you for keeping your good writers to yourself! If I'm lucky enough to hook up with someone who can produce good content quickly at a reasonable price, I'll guard them like my kids favorite baby-sitter! :D

You can get writers for $3 but my experience it wasn't worth my time for the amount of rewriting I had to do, so I just stick with the best and pay them well by Philippine standards so they never leave me. As to the amount of work you get for that money it really depends on what they are doing. For basic PLR rewrites, they can do about 1,000 words an hour, for original articles less.

I can write at 1,500 to 2,000 words an hour so they are slower that I would do myself, but then I'm not going to work for $5 an hour.

A good place to look for writers is University students doing English degrees :)

    Hi all!

Just thought I'd drop in and let you know that I started a thread in download requests that relates to what we're talking about here:

    Code:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/download-requests/60044-replacemyself-philippine-outsourcing-info.html
If any of you are good at cracking sites, you might want to check it out. If I get anything back on it, I'll post it on here also. Sounds like good info, and actually the case that he makes for using Philippine workers versus other sources sounds pretty compelling.

    Cheers! :)

I have had a good experience with phillipine writers. And they are good workers, honest and hardworking ...I think most of the foreign countries talking of outsourcing people usually get from Philippines because you can trust them in terms of their how they do their task.. pm me if you want some help me.

    Home Page:
Hi, rates are largely dependent upon the type of work, difficulty level, research, turnaround time, etc. Just like anywhere else, there are skilled and qualified writers from the Philippines. Sure cost of living is low as compared to other countries, but this fact doesn't keep these writers from estimating their own fees according to their own judgment and worth. If you'd want to get the best out of your team (human writers), set practical objectives and goals that your team could possibly achieve. The least thing you would like to happen is forgoing quality over quantity. If you are a bit uncertain, test the waters. Some clients allot a small portion of their budget for test tasks alone (eg. 5 paid sample articles). If the writer meets your expectation, then you may want to go ahead with the real project.
