    so while on WSHH there was a interview found out there was a new pill out to prevent HIV by 75% so i researched it

    I've heard of this not too long ago. Didn't think it was real. I wonder how they've worked out the 75%. lol

    Odds of catching HIV during sex with an infected person go from 1:200 to 1:800 with this pill. Hmmmmm, condoms are safer and cheaper.

    People that are at risk for sexually-transmitted HIV (promiscuous & unprotected sex) aren't going to get and take a pill that decreases their chances of infection by 75%.

    If, however, a government were to sponsor a massive effort at near-inoculation, it might do some good. Might also drive up sales & profits of the companies that manufactured it. I'm thinking African countries, where the rate of infection is epidemic. I wonder if it is safe enough to give to adolescents.
