So I'm building an online store and decided not to go the Shopify route but use Woocommerce instead. I'm familiar with it and prefer it over Shopify.

Anyway, when I tried sharing it in FB chat with a friend it said "You can't post this because it has a blocked link". I have another Woocomemrce site which pretty has the same structure/theme and it was never blocked before. Since then, I've contacted them about this link and even went as far as making a duplicate of the site with products removed, new logo etc and using a different domain - the 2nd domain got blocked as well.

Can't even run ads for any of the two sites, which was the point. Bit of a pain in the ass. Would anyone happen to know a solution or something else I can try? I don't really think contacting FB will do anything since both me and my business partner got in touch already.

Could it be the niche. I've got a woocommerce store and FB hasn't blocked it so.... not sure what's going on with you.

Maybe its the content, maybe its the IP of your server. Try contacting them and getting them to white-list your domain manually (they had to do this once for my domain... after I kept pestering them).

The 2nd try I put the site on a dedicated IP and literally removed all products or anything niche related before I tried sharing it again. Might just need to bug them more about it but eh

Have you tried posting a Shopify URL? Maybe your account is just blocked from sharing URLs.

I've never had an issue with Woo, but maybe you could try hide the plugin name, similar to how you hide the theme name on WP?

I've had multiple people try sharing these URLs with no success.

An update on this if anyone ever encounters the same issue - just got the third freaking domain for this project. Shared it from my gf's fb in char first, didn't use mine or my partner's. Then went ahead bought the domain and put a copy of the first site on there using All In One WP Migration. Tried sharing it, worked. Recrawled it using the FB Sharing Debugger, it still worked.

Completely illogical and pretty much means that FB just didn't like the first two domains even though they were never registered before. A gigantic waste of time really.

Well, good to know you found a solution. I would like to know what would cause such issues.
