    Hello,

My site url was banned on Facebook yesterday. I have fanpage since 2015 with unique name (same as on banned domain) and a lot of fans. From what I read on the forum, it is hard to expect that the facebook unlock the url.
So to not scare the fans, I want to continue operate my portal under the same name. Not on "myportal.com", but on "myportal.eu". I want to copy all site content to new domain and do redirect 301 for all links - to save SEO power of the site and to not have duplicated content on new site.

Is it worth doing? Will facebook crawlers block this site also and notice redirect 301 on banned url? Or maybe better option could be start new content on myportal.eu without redirection? Has anyone ever tried to do this?

Yes, FB will follow the redirect, so you will just waste your time. Don't do what you are about to, especially since you are also doing SEO on your site. Contact FB, ask why you were banned and maybe they will unban your domain, because it seems that your page is legit (correct me if I'm wrong).

Yes is legit. I always do everything to be ok with fb rules and now something so disappointing happen to me :( Ok so I try to contact, but from what I read on the forum it could be a long way or even not...
Moreover I need to keep my fanpage active, so maybe until they unlock my url, I will create new page, with similar name but new content, without redirect? I have news/viral fanpage so people needs the news everyday :( When I will publish articles on the fanpage with link to my new site, It will affect somehow on fanpage?

And maybe anyone know, new site will affect somehow google/adsense rules? I will not have there duplicate content, but only simillar name of website.

I would assume a cloaker would work in this case. Not sure if it'll be cost effective for you, but worth looking into.

If you are using WP, you can use a duplicator plugin to mirror the old site on a new domain, so you don't waste a lot of time creating the site from scratch. I don't know if posting the new URL will affect your fan page or not, because you don't know why you got banned in the first place. If it was because of your content for example, a new domain won't help as the FB bots will scan your page and ban you again. Maybe you got reported a lot by users in FB, but I doubt it. So, unfortunately, until (and if) you get a response from FB, you are operating in the blind. I recommend duplicating the site and continue posting on a new domain so you don't lose engagement on your fan page for now.

The problem I have seen with that is that FB sees the image names etc and catches on.

The site needs to be recreated using different images, images names, etc.

Ok, But from what I know, duplicate content its against the rules of adsense? So, I can't do that without 301 redirect to old site, cuz I will be not ok with google. That's why I think I should start from scratch and uphold with this fanpage activity, until they unlock the url?

Yep, you are right about this, I also just remembered you posted this issue in your FB thread as well. I have a gut feeling though that the OP got banned because of links, so images wouldn't really matter, but of course he would be way better served changing everything he could in the new site.

Honestly, I don't know what your best solution might be in your case, partly because you have no idea why you got banned and partly because I've never mixed SEO and FB traffic together - I either build websites for SEO or for FB, but not both. I recommended duplicating the site so you don't lose engagement, but you are right, that will be bad for SEO. So, yeah I would guess the 301 redirect would be the best option, however be careful with the new URL in FB and the content that got your old URL banned in the first place.

I did 301 redirection, but to domain with new IP. Everything works as it should with google and FB. So I recommend that way to everyone with similar problem :)
