FB Ads safe and effective

From my experience, keeping FB ad accounts safe is mostly about consistency and patience:
  • Start slow: don’t scale too quickly, increase budgets step by step.
  • Separate assets: don’t connect too many pages, pixels, or payment methods under the same BM.
  • Ad quality matters: use clean creatives and compliant landing pages to reduce rejections.
  • Have backups: always keep extra domains/accounts ready so you’re not stuck if one gets restricted.
  • Monitor closely: check billing and campaign performance daily to catch irregular spending early.

Warm up your account before going live. Start with a small budget, don't change or edit details once the campaign is live.

The stability of BM, personal acc and fanpage will also affect the stability of ad account, so it's important to find strong FB assets.

Thanks for the detailed tips! I've followed your advice, and my ad accounts are running much more smoothly now

To keep accounts safe and effective, focus on gradual budget increases, compliant creatives, verified payment methods, and consistent spending. This minimizes the risk of restrictions

First use clean IP, use clean profile, BM verified, full payment, limit rejected ads and always have backup account

How to keep FB Ads account safe, run effectively, avoid irregular spending and handle problems such as rejected ads or restricted accounts? Does anyone have any experience or tips?
  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): This is the most crucial step. 2FA adds a second layer of security, requiring a code from your phone or an authenticator app in addition to your password. Make sure 2FA is enabled for all users with access to your Business Manager.

  • Manage User Access: Use Meta Business Manager to assign specific roles (e.g., Admin, Advertiser, Analyst) based on what each person needs to do. Regularly review permissions and revoke access for anyone who no longer needs it.

  • Monitor Activity: Keep a close eye on your account's activity. Watch for unusual logins, changes to ad creatives, targeting, or budgets. Many security breaches are first identified through a sudden spike in ad spend.

  • Use Separate Business Managers for Clients: If you manage ads for multiple clients, create a separate Business Manager account for each. This isolates their data and prevents a potential ban on one account from affecting others.

  • Use Strong and Unique Passwords: Don't reuse passwords. Consider using a password manager to generate and store strong, random passwords

From my side, keeping FB accounts safe is more about consistency than any “hack.” Don’t spike budgets, lift 10–20% every 48h, and avoid too many edits once the ad is learning. Rejected ads usually come from wording/creative triggers, so I keep a clean pool of creatives to rotate. Restricted accounts often trace back to billing/profile mismatch, so stable payment history is key. How do you usually warm up your accounts before scaling?
Thanks for sharing. I tried increasing the budget like you suggested and my campaign is running much smoother now. Before, I used to raise it 50% at once and my account got flagged

Don't do a lot of activity at first. Do not change payment cards, do not link business managers, accounts, do not create campaigns with a large budget, at least for a week

Yes, I usually just keep it super low key the first week and avoid making too many changes, now i see my account is much more stable

I’ve learned keeping ad copy simple and following FB’s guidelines helps a lot. Sudden spend spikes usually trigger restrictions.

Many people have already replied to you. I will just add one more idea that hasn't been written, to make your BM less restricted: Do not log into the BM on multiple IPs/untrusted IPs.
