So guys I ran my first FB ad campaign. Post page engagement ad. The estimated reach shown was 490 - 1800 during campaign set up. After the ad is completed, the paid reach shown on my post is 145 and reach shown in ads manager is 56. First of all, why are both these numbers different? Shouldn't they be the same?

Secondly, there was zero engagement. Not even a single click, like, comment, nothing. :(

The target audience was quite narrow and niche relevant.

What could I be doing wrong?

Is your post catchy and intrigue someone to make comment ?
Majority of post boosts won't get the click you want if you don't make it catchy and intriguing to build engagement.

You need to learn how to make clickbait title and set campaign to last longer. Boost more than one post so after few days you can see which one is doing better and just turn OFF those that are not doing so good. You need to experiment until you find the right one ;)

You need to test multiple campaigns and see which one is getting the best results

Well... You might be right to some extent but honestly this should be first approch.

See what he's doing wrong before testing around. He will end up wasting loads of cash on testing..:)
