As per thread title, I need to fax some info over to an affliate scheme but do not have a fax machine, I know there are some online options but not sure if they:

    a) work
    b) secure

    Thanks

I have used eFax before-- they have an option where you can scan the document and it gets sent as a fax to the recipient. One of my CPA networks has that and they are fine with me just signing the offer, scanning it, and emailing it over to them. You might want to ask them if this is ok.

Or just go to a copy store and fax it if it's an absolute requirement.

Yes, eFax works like an email. The receiver needs to download some software to be able to view the fax. The receiver also gets a phone number. The plain vanilla version is free.

I've been using RapidFax for over a year for my business.. it's $10 a month and works great! You can upload text documents and PDFs and it faxes to their fax # like a regular fax.. they can fax your # from a machine and it converts it to PDF and emails it to you.

cant you use a fax at Kinkos, supermarket, your bank, I have even used a packing store on vacation. Better yet, go to any Hotel, they normally all have a business services center for guests. Just use that one, if it is attended by Hotel personal, just say that Mr Ron Mexico, needs this faxed immediately, it is confidential so he asked me to do it personally.

Efax is my personal weapon of choice too. It provides a consistent presence to the CPA Network you apply to. It gives that, "I am a pro/business" attitude. I have never been rejected from a network usind Efax, so it is my "safe bet" recommendation. ;)

Good point, and it is plausible, but truly discretion/opinion based on whether the user wants to maintain a biz front or "fly by night bank, packing store, hotel fax bandit" :p
