Well? For me it would have to be Double Dragon. Man, in 1987 that shit ran the arcade. Always would be a crowd. Always a 20-30 minute wait time to play it. I got so good at it though I actually made it to the last boss with one quarter an no partner. Of course it cost me another dollar at least to take down the machine gun final boss but I had all the strategy. Knew exactly where to stand so when I dropped my weapon after I beat a stage I could pick it up again on the next stage, timing was perfect with the bat so I could loop dudes into a hit cycle when they tried to get up until they died, threw every dude into any kind of pit there was around everytime, etc. That game was it for me.

Street Fighter 2 hands down. Dude, I got so good at that game I could go hours on 1 quarter taking on challengers. I ended up buying the SNES version and dominated that game. Could even beat it on level 7 difficulty with Ken or Ryu.

Anyway, can't wait for SF4 to come out. Already got it reserved

Retro: Dragon Warrior 3 - That shit kept me leveling up for two months. I finally found an emulator and all of these games again recently.

Current: Far Cry 2- There's just nothing like setting all the grass around an airport on fire and watching the wind blow it inwards while you setup camp on a hillside with your trusty .50 claiber sniper rifle.

Nintendo's Duck Hunt! - I would spend hours setting up mirrors around my house and shooting the ducks.

yep mortal kombat was a close second. The first time I did a fatality (with raiden) I called my friend as soon as I got back home and told him like I won a million bucks or something.

    Fuck Yeah! I love Galaga!

My vote has to go to Ghosts'n'Goblins though. Absolute classic. If I hadn't worked out how to open the machine and clock up free credits, I would have poured sooo much money into that machine. I was lucky enough to have a cabinet in my house for a while and never got sick of it.
