For me, as a rule - american regisrars are no-no for anything related to bh. Especially any registrars related to godaddy, directii and enom. These are known to lock domains just by a keyword in domain name.

@ Bartholomew is correct. Namecheap is Enom seller and you're domains can be put on hold status/banned where you are not able to do anything with them. Which is out of namecheap's control. Been moving mine as they renew.
Any registrar that makes you pay for whois protection is flat out hustling you. I'm a master registrar and I'll tell you firsthand: whois privacy services are 100% free.
