My main client requires UK hosting so today I decided to try a company called fasthosts.co.uk

I am already with several UK hosts which I have to do to guarantee unique C-class IP's so being stupid and half asleep I decided to put my trust in fasthosts who I assumed were a good hosting company.

I like to use Cpanel which should be standard in my opinion, it makes it easy to install and edit files. I did not notice that fasthosts.co.uk do not use Cpanel but instead they use some dodgy control panel which is even worse than godaddy's control panel.

I have spent half the day trying to install a phpld script and have finally given up after constant errors. I want a refund, those guys should even pay me for wasting my Sunday trying to figure out there stupid control panel. Every other hosting company that I know offer a 30 day money back guarantee, not these guys though.

I've paid £5.50 for the first month and have noticed that I am now tied into a 12 month contract, WTF?? I want to cancel there hosting just for that reason alone and I did not even register a new domain with them. I feel so cheated. I could just cancel my paypal subscription but I would be breaking the contract and probably end up in a small claims court.

Anyone have any ideas? I know it's only £66 in total but surely they can't get away with this. These guys don't even have live chat, and can't find there email address anywhere, just somewhere to submit a ticket.

Unless the UK has some super duper strange laws, I would cancel the PayPal subscription A.S.A.P., and then file a complaint with PayPal to get your funds back. When you draft the initial PayPal dispute you need to give Pay a few links to the negative reviews concerning FastHosts. Just Google...

    Code:
    fasthosts.co.uk review
... and you will get a TON of evidence to give PayPal. Just make sure you only use the ones with the very negative ratings. You might want to also add that you found out about the issues this company has only after you signed up. And finally, be methodical and crystal clear in your description of the issue. ;)

cancel that paypal subscription, if they try and take you to court hire any attorney seriously a shitty one will do, then when your hiring the attorney make you case, he will see your a winner and make sure you make the deal that he gets 50% of the "winnings", but only gets paid if you win that way you get a free attorney, and fasthosts loses, after you cancel that subscription come on over to Hostwinds and let us show you how a real host operates :)
