Unless the UK has some super duper strange laws, I would cancel the PayPal subscription A.S.A.P., and then file a complaint with PayPal to get your funds back. When you draft the initial PayPal dispute you need to give Pay a few links to the negative reviews concerning FastHosts. Just Google...
... and you will get a TON of evidence to give PayPal. Just make sure you only use the ones with the very negative ratings. You might want to also add that you found out about the issues this company has only after you signed up. And finally, be methodical and crystal clear in your description of the issue.

cancel that paypal subscription, if they try and take you to court hire any attorney seriously a shitty one will do, then when your hiring the attorney make you case, he will see your a winner and make sure you make the deal that he gets 50% of the "winnings", but only gets paid if you win that way you get a free attorney, and fasthosts loses, after you cancel that subscription come on over to Hostwinds and let us show you how a real host operates
