Fast Track to Adwords -- A Blog Building Journey

This post will be a log of my progress to getting approved by Google Adwords on my blog. Eventually, I want to turn my business themed blog into a e-commerce portal. I plan to monetize initially through advertisements while I build my website and my brand. My main method for driving traffic is through various social media outlets. Any advice, experiences, or constructive criticisms is welcome and Thank you for joining my on my journey!

    - Steps in the process -

    • Domain and Hosting
    • Configure Wordpress
    • Google Analytics Account
    • Keyword Research
    • Content (40-50 Quality Articles)
    • Linkbuilding and SEO
    • Sitemap Page
    • Privacy Policy
    • Traffic

I am still learning parts of the process, which is where I would like to request help from you, the BHW community. I intend to keep this post updated frequently on my progress. Once I get approved by Adwords the goal is to start making around $10 / day, but this is a bridge to cross when I get there.

Google adwords is harder and harder day by day,

I was referring to Google Adwords, do you think this is the best way to monetize a blog?

Ok so no affiliate and adwords. Gotcha. It is a new account, but surely I will be able to get it eventually.

Also, I am currently posting my first update. Any tips or advise for getting the next step would be much appreciated.

I think you are referring to Google Adsense.

Google Adwords is an advertising platform.

All the best with your journey though :)

    I appreciate the encouragement!

    I see. You are correct.

Random question - how do I edit my first post? I'm not seeing an option to update.

So far I have purchased the domain and hosting. I have installed WP and set up a decent theme. I have also published my first two blog entries.
The adsense account has been created.

I have contacted a couple of sellers on Fiverr about a banner design and keyword research. I suppose the next step is to purchase a couple articles and start building to my 40-50 count. Does anyone have insight on how I should commission the writing of these articles?

How many keywords should I focus on? Do I need to have the keywords in every single article? Also, how do I go about getting backlinks? Honestly, Im not exactly sure what a backlink is. Do I need backlinks to get PR?
