    Very interesting blog post Monty. "It pays to be fast". Simple but true. Makes me want to start paying attention to domains a little more. With a little daily work and staying on one's toes there could be some good money to be made.

    Without looking, what are the chances that BarackObamaLibrary.com is still available? I'm sure it is ;)

    He probably used SnapNames or somekind of automated script. But it also pays to be lucky, these kind of names rarely get dropped nowadays, and if they do you have tons of investors and registrars gunning for 'em.

    Yeah snapping up expired domains is an art in itself. Gotta know what places to back order domains and most places you do not get a refund if they are not able to get the domain for you.

    The domain I have now, no idea how I snagged it up... Been registered for 5 years prior and I loved the domain name and checked its availability every single day and got it with out having to back order.
