I just saw this on the news while relaxing with a beer and wanted to share it and get some thoughts.

I actually like this idea, i would be much more likely to wake up sharpish if some random person was calling me at 7am in the morning. My woman wakes me usually, i say 'ok love' then go right back to sleep. lol

Could it be the next big thing?

I saw this a few weeks ago.

We tested the app and it was rubbish. Calls were very poor quality, rarely resulted in speaking to someone and for some reason they are making direct calls, rather than using data connections (which pointlessly adds extra overheads)

They did get a round of funding (which for such a simple app is not necessary) so I think they just went for a VC payday and found a VC with money to burn.

The guys have been around for a while too as there was a previous incarnation of the app that was aimed at the Russian market.

Nice idea I thought, but very badly implemented.
