I've been kicking this around in my head for a few years and perhaps now is the time to implement it based on the recent Google carnage. The idea I had is to create fake personas on the web so good that they appear to be real people. I'm talking more of a themed approach here. For example, a persona we'll call "Jack" likes Nascar, so every bookmark, 2.0 page, comment, etc. is themed toward his persona. I would then use Jack and others like him to link to a Nascar related site that I owned. The goal here would be to make the links to my money sites appear completely natural. Obviously this will be time consuming and I'm uncertain of the payoff, which is the reason for the post. I would like the opinions of my fellow black hat brothers and sisters. Is this a total waste of time, or do you think it has potential?
