Hello everyone,
I run an E-Commerce business. I’m getting users on my signup page, but there are no conversions. There are a lot of fake signup, but actual conversions are almost zero. Can someone suggest a good solution to stop fake user activity? Thank you

Geo and ip address bans. Bot traffic ban. Find out where are coming from and ban them.
These are scammers, spammers and hackers who are looking for weakness in e-comm sites to exploit them. Most of them use bots.
But this will not help with conversations. Your problem still remains. You need to reach out to your buyers and sell them. That's a whole different issue.

How are users reaching your website—are they coming through ads or other channels? What is the ratio of total sign-ups to actual conversions?
It’s quite normal for users to sign up to explore more information and then decide not to proceed. There are many factors that can influence this behavior. :)

You need to closely monitor your signup activity. I have seen people use ipqs and frauddefense.io to stop fake users and fraud activity. You should also track user country and location to understand where your traffic is coming from. Add captcha to the signup form.

real email verification at signup stops alot of this. not just the confirmation link but checking whether the email is deliverable.

also look at your traffic source. if u are running ads, check which placements are sending the traffic. sometimes its one or 2 publishers or a specific ad network thats sending bot clicks

Today, it has very difficult to filter real and fake bots or users. Proxy providers set things in a way that makes it difficult to tell the difference between real and fake traffic. Still, I want to try FraudDefense trial plan and see how it works.

That's a classic e-commerce headache. fake signups are the worst. i'd look into recaptcha. it's pretty decent at weeding out bots without making your real users jump through hoops. i've used it before and it's far better than the old image ones, which are just annoying.
