Fake calls

    It's new in my country. Someone try to call to phone, than you found missed called which starts +8821..... when try to recall and be connceted you lost 10$ Anybody knows about that?

    Just remember that all of those 88 numbers are paid.

    Let your telecom know that you were scammed and maybe they'll let you off the hook.

    This had been going on for ages in USA and UK.
    Oh the people who do it in the UK are more dangerous because when you call them back, not only do you get charged once, but you get charged monthly that's their own recurrent billing for you. Some scammers do it with text too, beware when you text back to numbers you don't know especially when the message to you seem like a marketing message and they want you to text "STOP" back to a number to stop receiving such text. WELL, That is the hook right there.

    The text thing with reoccuring billing 1st hit my country a few years ago. Haven't heard of the landline thing here, so thanks for the heads up.

    Yea it seems to happend worldwide
    They Using international-rate calls as premium-rate numbers
    So not only 88 numbers

    Greatway to earn money with those numbers not the callback trick
    but there just legit ways to earn money from those number

    The txt version of this is happening more and more now in the Philippines. The cell providers don't care and tell you to call a government office that handles cell fraud. Of course that office does not care either because they just fill a chair and collect a paycheck due to a relative being in a high government post.
