Looking in some of these BST threads and cant help but to laugh at all the ridiculous amounts of "what I believe to be fake accounts" boosting their sales thread.

Hundreds and I mean hundreds of one time posters or little to no post counts just happen to be buying your $100-$500 service? GTFO.

This is straight up fraud and deception. Although I guess I shouldn't be too surprised we are in a BHW forum. Its just a shame that people here are scamming their own.

Fake reviews are everywhere. We just need to grasp the ones posted by reputed guys, IMO

you'd be surprised who comes out of the wood works for services. some people make an account here just to outsource a good provider's service. it's highly likely.

The second and third examples may well be fake, but if your clued in you will probably realize this. It those who aren't who get mislead and may end up parting with their money without good reason. Some sort of disclaimer would suffice.

I have a profile with similar stats to the first example and I could go an purchase a $500 service today if I wanted too.

    I second this.
The account in the first screenshot might be a valid one.

Well people should probably ignore the reviews with only a few posts and study further reviews by long term members. Most long term members won't post false reviews even if they received a review copy. jmho.

Marketplace is like an online shop. You can go there everyday without an "customer account", once you find a matching product you register and confirm in the thread. Yes, there are people out there which are not interested in interacting with us guys.

Agreed. There's a BST here that I happened to read today, that I won't mention, which has been caught posting fake reviews from one of its buyers.

You don't have to be a member with high reputation or post count to afford those services, you pay with money not with rep/post count...

To be honest , There are hundreds of potential buyer out here in bhw, Who only registers to place bulk orders. You can't judge people with just their posts count.

I never had any service opened here, but on other forums, some services of mine got even 60% of orders from new users. And believe me they were not scammers, they even buy again after some weeks.

Of course there are tons of fake accounts here.. We do sell proxies here you know ;)

No seriously it's basically the same BST pushing you see every day in the WF... I NEVER give much thought to the first 5-6 "buyers" in a BST

It happens far too much...BUT....take a look at this:

1,373 members on now....9,642 non members.

Since some BST threads state to post in the thread many people will create an account just to make the purchase.

If it happens it happens, but as others have stated, I remember when I was reading a few threads a few days ago about a member who launched many services and stated "You never know who is looking at blackhatworld" and brought up and example of a fortune 500 company joining just to buy his service.

It's true, you never know who is who, not to say there isn't anyone lieing.

When I see newbies giving reviews on sales threads, I assume they have just registered to get the "bonus" or better support that most sellers offer to boost posts... I guess it would be naive to think that all reviews are 100% real and honest, but in my opinion even if they were, everyone has different standards and requirements so who knows if something will work for you.

For me, when ordering a BST service, I only read the reputed members reviews. Although I don't doubt some members make accounts just to bump themselves to the top. But overall, a good service will live on longer than crap ones.

I remember when the chailak jv went tits up. A lot of the bigger ie 5 figure investors were guys with only a handful of posts. In saying that there was a guy recently who got caught posting for positive reviews on freelancer.

Treat bst reviews like trip advisor reviews, ignore the majority and try and find detailed reviews from people who appear to be sensible.
