Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times in order to hit 714 home runs. Numbers like these are similar across famous people that are well known for something positive. People that rank high, or best, in something tend to fail something like twice as much as they succeed. Sometimes many times over their successes.

This really isn't meant to motivate anyone. Motivation is all around this forum but people say "This motivated me" and then change nothing. I think the word is meaningless.

This post is really to draw attention to the fact that failure really is just a fact of life. The real killer is the reason people get into IM. They think it's easy or the lazy way to make money. Often times it's more difficult than working at McDonalds.
