Another music induced rant. Its great for content on my blog Ive got 6 minutes until i go out tonight... so heres a quick but important rant about the oh so important skill of PLANNING. First let me ask you a question. When you are online... How much do you actually plan? maybe 1% of the time your online? For most people this is the case, it is the nature of the internet that makes us drift off, getting trapped in the web. Heck I still have to fight the urge to mindlessly browse these days as well, its human nature, curiosity. Now, im not saying curiosity is necessarily a bad thing, it's just bad in high doses. I've ended up wasting a whole day mindlessly 'window shopping', without a plan to do anything. Sure it may seem like im doing a lot, but when you look back at the day and realise what you accomplished... over the 8 to 12 hours... you realise you could have done way more. This is a lesson i learned in the air force boot camp. But then seemed to ignore the lesson when i started in internet marketing. How very foolish I was. Bare with me as i stray off a little bit to explain how the air force taught me my lesson on focus, planning, and time management. Crud, 5 minutes left, better make this quick. Anyways, you are up from 5:30 til 10pm at night. It is full on in boot camp and non stop. Nearly every night we are up until midnight even though we arent allowed, not to do mischievous things though, but to finish off preparing our dorm, finish a project, whatever. If you have no organizational skills or planning skills boot camp is bloody tough. I had none, so of course i had a hard time. Dont get me wrong though, boot camp was the best thing i did in my entire life. Anyways, your 16-17 hour days are so structured that you complete an amazing list of things. More things than people complete in a month, if not more! It is truly amazing and my heart goes out to all military men and woman across the earth. Respect guys and gals. If there was an internet marketing course out there that replicated boot camp exactly.. then you would have a lot less mindless idiots out there and a lot more rich ass people out there. Im glad now that I remember this lesson, it is one that I pray you will remember for the rest of your days. Set out goals for what you want to do this day, week, fortnight, month, term, semester, season, year, decade, century, life, whatever. Set your goals, make them realistic. Do them before you go off mindlessly browsing and so on... Im one minute late now, peace everyone.
