First, just switched over from Comcast to Centurylink. I discovered some time ago while on Comcast that if you create a FB account using an IP that's already logged into (at some time) a different account under the same IP, you get the darn "Mobile Phone Verification" message.

Solution was simple enough, just change the MAC of your router to get a new IP through Comcast and your good to go and off making another FB account.

It took me a while to figure out how to change my IP with Centurylink DSL, but finally did it. Went to create a FB account with an IP I had never signed in with before, and bam, got that #!%$!! mobile verification message. Far as I can tell there's no way around it, and I don't plan on buying a bunch of prepaid cell phones.

So the question is, what triggers this cell verification "concern?" Is it because Centurylink is a dynamic IP pool service, possibly? It's the only reason I could see why this happened with Centurylink on the first IP change, but never happened with Comcast.

Only way would be if others have burned all of Centurylinks ips.

Is it on the same computer? Maybe try using CCleaner on your pc and see if that helps?

Would appreciate a pm, if you try it and it works. Also, try using a different browser, if you normally use IE, then try firefox.

Ok you know I have been making FB accounts for a while and I pretty much put it down to a couple of things.

    1) It will happen one way or another every now and then it will ask.
    2) It seems to be with a female name it asks more for verification.

These are just 2 of my own personal things I have noticed. I have managed in a short time to make around 500 accounts, I can do about 4 a minute. One piece of advise I can give I find it's not the IP so much it's more cleaning your cookies! Try and remove your footstep I recommend Window Washer.

These are things that have worked for me plus I got other ways too, anyways good luck.

mountainman: Great suggestions. I've considered that many of Centurylinks IPs may have been burned since it's technically dynamic IP instead of static. About CCleaner, I'm always sure to run it before creating any new account, in fact I probably run it 5 times a day. Just habit. The bit about using a different client, that I have never tried and will next time. It couldn't hurt and thanks.

Bigmutherluver: Those are genuinely interesting stats. Didn't know about the female thing. Will try more male accounts. About the cookie cleaning, I use CCleaner. I'll rotate my IP again and give it another shot. BTW, might I press you to know how you're creating 4 accounts per minute? If more appropriate please PM me. And thanks.
