    Ok i'm literally begging for help here...

    I wasted hours and hours and i failed, i can't figure it out...

    Sharing my Blog on Facebook and the thumbnail preview options i get, or rather, i don't get...

    Is there anyone, any place i can turn to in order to figure this out?

    All i managed to figure out is how to set as many pictures as i want as thumbnail options. And that's cool. But that's not what i want...

    I want to set it so that if my blog is shared for example www(dot) blog . com it gives one or two options, i did that... But what also happens is that it makes the same options available for All Blog Posts i try to share... And i don't want that.

    When i share a Blog POST, i want it to give me the thumbnail option one of the pictures from the Blog Post. That's all...

    And also when i embed a youtube video, it doesn't show the thumbnail of the video when i share that on facebook...

    I really REALLY tried to figure it out, i read posts and watched videos and i can't do it... I need a power higher than me to help me with this... So can anyone help me? Please.. I will be forever grateful...

    Alright bro, if i have understood your problem, this is what you have to do.

    Paste your blog Url in Status box. then it will show previews. but the preview pictures are not what you want.

    So just below that picture there is an option like " upload image " Just click on it, select your desired picture and post it.

    FB automatically picks up img tags in your post. When you're posting your update there are arrows next to the image, so you can choose a thumbnail or even remove the image altogether.

    There isn't much to it, you shouldn't have to "beg" for this info ;)

    Hey brother. Sure i could do that, and that would be alright...

    But then what happens when somebody tries to share a post from my blog to facebook, and they don't even get a thumbnail of the picture...

    ps. the blog is sort of a humor blog. Mostly pictures, very little text...

    And i would hate to have to do that even for myself every time i want to share a post. I want facebook to give me the option automatically...

    It is easy! Just use the following meta

    Code:
    <meta property="og:image" content="http://imageurlhere" />
    EDIT: If you need custom title and description then use these two:
    Code:
    <meta property="og:title" content="My Funky Title" />
    <meta property="og:description" content="View the Horse Shit!" />

    I do have to beg, it's a mess and it can't be sorted... At first when i publish a new post, i can usually get the Thumbnail i want. A day later i lose the option. Then if i shrink the link of my post with a link shortener i may get the thumbnail i want again... Then if i try to share it again 3 minutes later, i lose the option again... I can't be playing with facebook like that and worrying whether it will allow me or my traffic to share a post and which thumbnail options it will give... There must be a way to TELL facebook what to use...

    Install Wordpress SEO by Yoast, put featured image on your post and it will put the image for you.

    Edited: I thought you were using WP :)

    Alright, ok...

    I had done this, the <meta property....> in the HTML section of my Blog under the head, and it worked...

    So i was able to Choose 1 picture to be picked as a thumbnail from facebook. But then that 1 picture became the same thumbnail for every one of my blog posts, and i didn't want that...

    I know i'm not supposed to share my blog/website on public forums, but i don't care, i have to figure this out and im still begging for some help on this, it's driving me crazy...

    Here is a post from my blog, share it on facebook, see if it gives you an option for a thumbnail any of the 2 pictures which are in the post..??

    Ah cmon don't be an emotional fool. You need help, I am here to help.
    @problem
    You are using blogspot, so you have less control over the html structure of your site. Trying putting the meta in your article and change the picture in every post. Though it sounds ugly, but it might still work.

    For a better solution, switch to Custom hosted wordpress.

    I tried it, didn't work...

    I also debugged it on facebook's tool for that, and i get "og:image should be larger:provided og:image is not big enough. Please use an image that's at least 200x200 px."

    https://developers.facebook.com/too...gspot.com/2013/08/before-sex-after-sex-d.html

    And that woud make sense, except.. How the Fuck can that make any sense, if i can go and shorten my link with any link shortener, and then get 6 choices for a thumbnail??? ----> http://goo.gl/DOFgpl

    But if i just copy and paste my blog post's URL, i get 1-3 options max. And those are my header, my Google+ profile picture, and a picture at the bottom of my Blog... But not the picture/s from the particular Blog Post which i'm sharing...

    And on the other hand. When i had published the above post a few days ago. The first thing i did was share it on my fan page. And it generated the proper thumbnail. I got to pick from any of the 2 pictures in the blog post... And now, i am not able to choose anymore...

    Do you see the inconsistencies? I honestly don't know where to turn... All the reading and youtube videos and codes in the world won't help me with this... That's why i'm reaching out so "'humbly" here... The only thing left to do is offer to pay someone to help me understand this stupid fucking facebook shit... suck it facebook!!!

    OH BUT KEEP IN MIND!!!

    The Shortened Link i gave above will ONLY WORK ONCE...

    The FIRST time after it's created, when you put it in a box of a facebook status, you will get the proper thumbnail options...

    But it won't work again... Next time you try it, it will again give only 3 options to choose from, but not the pictures from the actual blog post...

    Pissed off man... pissed off at my ignorance lol...

    But Google+ for example, it gives me the thumbnail options i want...

    Anyway, if nobody can help me - or want to help me - here on BHW. What would you advise me to do?

    Im thinking either look for someone on Fiverr... Or go and register on the WarriorForum...

    Any other ideas? Maybe i should kidnap Zuckerberg and make him explain this shit to me... :D

    I just found a Blog on Blogger, also a humor one. And it works perfectly.

    Every time i share a blog post from that blog on facebook, i get the picture from the blog post and the logo of the site as thumbnail options...

    I sent a message to the Fan page of the blog on facebook, hopefully the owner will respond and tell me how he/she did it...

    That page you linked to has some seriously large logos. Those logos look like main images to Facebook, so it picks up the logo instead of your featured images. I'd reduce the size of those logos first, then continue testing.

    I had done that already...

    All that happens is that facebook stops giving it to me as a thumbnail option. But it still won't make facebook give me my blog post's picture/s as a thumbnail option...

    For example now, anything i share on facebook i get the header, the picture at the bottom of the blog, and my Google+ profile picture. That's it, 3 Thumbnail options...

    So if i remove any of them, the number of options will just get smaller...

    Right, you need rescued.

    First of all, facebook will cache the image you use the first time you share that url with facebook. If you want to get facebook to re-cache the page and find your new image settings then you need to change the url a little bit, you can do this by adding ?randomwordornumer to the end of the url.

    Isn't the cache supposed to be refreshed with the debug tool facebook has?

    And if not, how come the first time i uploaded the above blog post it gave me this as a sharing option:

    12.GIF

    But if i go to share the same post now, i don't have the option to choose this thumbnail anymore..??

    And also, how come when i use a link shortener to shorten my link, the FIRST share i try to make, i get the thumbnails from the post. But any other shares with the same shortened link will result in me not having the thumbnail options i want...
